Osvald is on a quest for vengeance, hunting down the man that took everything from him. During Osvald’s Chapter 4 in Octopath Traveler II, Osvald finds his way to Montwise to search through the city’s impressive library well aware that he might be walking into Harvey’s trap. Please note that the recommended level for this main story is 36.
Montwise
After the flashback, head north and enter the Montwise: Library. In the library, use Osvald’s Scrutinize Path Action on the following people:
- Scholar just south of the classroom
- Scholar on the western side of the middle floor
- Scholar on the eastern side of the middle floor
With all the information collected, head down to the northwestern corner of the lower floor where Osvald will find the secret passageway!

As you make your way through this area, you’ll find the below!

After you enter the room just past the savepoint, you’ll come across Harvey’s test subjects. You’ll need to take them out to proceed forward!

After defeating them, proceed deeper into the laboratory to find Harvey. Defeat the creature of horrors in a boss fight! During this fight the golem can change its body, thus changing is vulnerabilities.
