Fell Xenologue DLC Guide
The Fell Enologue doesn’t become available until you reach Chapter 7 of the main story.
Dragons from Afar – Fell Xenologue 1
To start the Fell Xenologue 1: Dragons from Afar DLC, speak with the Durthon in the armory, then head over to the Ancient Well on the northeast side of the Somniel and interact with it. You’ll then receive two weapons that you must bring back to Durthon. When that’s done, return to the well to trigger an event with Vander.
You will then be able to interact with the well and choose to start the Fell Xenologue. This will trigger a lengthy cutscene where you’ll meet Nel and Nil, who will catch up Alear on the events of the current world. The conversation will be cut short as a mysterious assailant shows up and attacks the trio.
Victory Conditions
- Victory: Defeat ???
- Defeat: Nel, Nil, or Alear is defeated
Deployment
- You can bring five units into this battle.
- Alear, Nel, and Nil are mandatory.
- Two units can be selected from your main game’s roster.
- Their level, class, and equipment will be automatically adjusted for balance.
Enemy Units
- 8 Corrupted Wolves:
- These enemies can inflict Cursed Fangs, a stacking debuff.
- Each stack lowers a unit’s HP by 5.
- The curse can be cured using a Restore Staff.
- These enemies can inflict Cursed Fangs, a stacking debuff.
- An additional wolf will spawn as you approach the boss (???).
- 1 Archer
- ??? (Boss):
- This mysterious enemy is partnered with Emblem Tiki, giving them enhanced stats and abilities.
Strategy Tips
- Bring a healer or a Restore staff user if available to cleanse Cursed Fangs.
- Keep Nel, Nil, and Alear safe, as losing any of them results in a game over.
- Be prepared for a late-game ambush from the boss and an extra wolf—maintain a defensive formation.
- Units from your main file won’t carry over their usual power, so don’t rely on them to tank hits or solo fights.
Seeds of Unrest – Fell Xenologue 2
Location: Verdant Garden
Travel to the Verdant Garden to kick off Chapter 2 of the Fell Xenologue. For our first stop to collect all of the bracelets, Alear arrives in Firene and is greeted by an old friend. Together, the group makes their way to the castle, where Alfred and Celine are being a little aggressive. This, of course, leads to a battle against them.
Conditions
- Victory: Defeat Alfred and Celine
- Defeat: Nel, Nil, or Alear is defeated
Map Overview
- The battle takes place in the gardens of Firene Castle.
- Your party begins on the west side of the map, while Alfred and Celine are located on the east side.
- You can bring eight units into this fight:
- Alear, Nel, Nil, and Zelestia are required.
- 4 additional units will be pulled from your main game.
- Their levels, classes, and gear will be adjusted to match the Fell Xenologue balance.
Enemy Units
- Armored | Qi Adept | Thief
- Axe, Lance, and Sword Fighters
- Alfred and Hector
- Celine
- Can nullify the damage she receives.
- Additional enemies will begin to spawn in various locations around the map as your party moves forward.
Strategy Tips
- Watch your formation—as you advance, reinforcements can surround isolated units.
- Target Celine with caution, as her damage-nullifying ability can stall momentum.
- Be ready for mixed threats—physical attackers up front and mages/adepts tucked behind.
- Bring units with high movement or ranged attacks to help push through the central garden quickly.

Path to War – Fell Xenologue 3
Location: Royal Road
Continue to the Royal Road to begin Fell Xenologue 3, which takes place in Brodia, where you’ll meet another of Zelestia’s comrades. Shortly after their reunion, you’ll be forced to battle a very different Diamant and Alcryst.
Victory Conditions
- Victory: Defeat Diamant and Alcryst
- Defeat: Alear, Nel, or Nil falls in battle
Map Overview
This battle takes place on a long bridge. Your units will start on the southern end, while Alcryst, Diamant, and the enemy forces are stationed on the northern side. The narrow layout limits maneuverability, so positioning is key. Alcryst begins the battle standing on a tile that boosts his Avoid, making him more difficult to hit with physical attacks. Be prepared to push forward carefully while dealing with ranged threats and tight choke points.
Battle Setup
- Available Units: 9 total
- Required Units: Alear, Nel, Nil, Zelestia, Gregory
- Select 4 Additional Units from your main game roster
Enemy Composition
- Enemy Types:
- Fliers – Highly mobile and dangerous if left unchecked
- Mage Cannoneers – Long-range artillery that can strike from afar
- Armored Units – High defense but vulnerable to magic
Mid-Battle Events
- After Defeating Alcryst:
- Diamant Advances: Once Alcryst is down, Diamant will begin moving toward your forces
- Emblem Summons: Diamant will use Emblem Veronica to call in additional Hero units, including Emblem Marth
- Artillery Strike: A nearby Mage Cannoneer will unleash a powerful area attack aimed at Diamant’s new position. Any of your units caught in the blast will be broken, so reposition carefully
Recommended Units & Strategy
- Bring an Archer: Essential for dealing with the enemy Fliers
- Bring a Mage: Helps dispatch the heavily armored enemies efficiently
- Watch Alcryst’s Position: His high Avoid tile makes him a tough target—try using magic or high-hit-rate units to bring him down
Clash of Queens – Fell Xenologue 4
Location: Frigid Forest
Proceed to Elusia to start Fell Xenolouge 4. Be warned that traveling here will kick off a series of battles, so it will be a while before you can return to the Somniel. During the initial cutscene, you’ll meet Madeline of the Four Winds. By the time it’s done, you’ll be thrown into a battle between Ivy/Soren and Timerra/Camilla to defeat both of them to claim their rings.
Victory Conditions
- Victory: Defeat Ivy and Timerra
- Defeat: Alear, Nel, or Nil is defeated
Map Overview
This battle takes place in the wide, open terrain of the Frigid Forest. Your army will begin in the south-central portion of the map, with enemy forces split across opposite ends. Timerra and Emblem Camilla are stationed in the northeastern corner, while Ivy and Emblem Soren occupy the western section. Notably, these two enemy factions will engage each other as well as your party, creating opportunities for tactical movement and interference. As the battle progresses, both factions will begin to shift their focus toward your army once they realize your presence.
Battle Setup
- Available Units: 10 total
- Required Units: Alear, Nel, Nil, Zelestia, Madeline, Gregory
- Select 4 Additional Units from your main army
Enemy Composition
You’ll face a wide mix of enemy types throughout this battle. Expect to encounter:
- Cavalry units – vulnerable to Ridersbane weapons
- Fliers – easily handled by Archers
- Armored units – weak to magic-based attacks
Mid-Battle Events
- After a few turns, reinforcements will begin arriving for both factions and will continue to spawn periodically.
- When you close in on Ivy, she will summon a pair of Corrupted Wyverns to defend her.
- Prioritize defeating the enemy leaders—Timerra and Ivy—as that will end the battle. Use focused, two-pronged pressure to take them out quickly before reinforcements overwhelm your position.
Recommended Units & Strategy
- Mage: Ideal for eliminating heavily armored enemies
- Ridersbane User: Equip Sigurd or Alfred to counter mounted units
- Archer: Necessary to neutralize flying threats
The Fell Heir – Fell Xenologue 5
Location: ???
With our mysterious enemy now known, you’ll have to face down a horde of Corrupted to reach them. You’ll also get to bring 10 of your units to fight alongside you.
Victory Conditions
- Victory: Defeat Nil
- Defeat: Alear or Nel is defeated
Map Overview
This fight takes place on a large, multi-front battlefield. Alear begins in the north-central section of the map, trapped between two barriers with no weapons and unable to attack. He’s vulnerable and must be healed regularly to survive. Nel starts to the east of Alear, directly across from Nil, who is accompanied by Emblem Chrom and possesses three health bars. Meanwhile, the rest of your party begins in the northwestern corner and must work their way counterclockwise around the map to reach towards the northeastern corner.
A Mage Cannoneer is located south of Alear and will target him early on, making it crucial to send support quickly. Some enemy units also possess a reflective damage skill that causes attackers to take the same amount of damage on their first strike, so plan your initial hits carefully.
Battle Setup
- Available Units: 12 total
- Required Units: Alear and Nel
- Select 10 Additional Units from your main army
Notable Enemy Positions
- Nil and Chrom: Positioned east of Alear, Nil has 3 health bars and is supported by a healer (Qi Adept) that respawns every few turns.
- Hortensia with Hector and Fogado with Veronica: Located in the northeastern corner, they will engage as your party advances.
- Corrupted Wyverns: Summoned by Nil midway through the battle, one will spawn in the north and begin attacking Alear, while another appears in the south.
Recommended Strategy
- Assign Healers: Have a dedicated healer reach Alear early—Jean is a strong candidate for this role, supporting both Alear and Nel.
- Emblem Recommendation: Equip Nel with a strong Emblem like Tiki to help her survive against Nil’s onslaught.
- Split Your Forces: Divide your main army into two teams. One should move south, the other southeast, to clear the Mage Cannoneer threatening Alear and push toward Nil.
- Watch for Reflected Damage: Some enemies will counter the first physical hit with equal damage—send in high-defense units or magic users first.
- Deal with Reinforcements: As your forces near the halfway point, Nil will summon Corrupted Wyverns, and Fogado will begin summoning Hero reinforcements before joining the fight himself.
Map Items
The following items can be obtained on the map:
Item | Obtained |
---|---|
Fortify | Loot the northeastern chest |
Physic | Loot the central chest |
Freeze | Loot the southwestern chest |
Restore | Loot the southwestern chest |
Seven Bracelets – Fell Xenologue 6
Location: Fallen Somniel
Pursue the mysterious enemy to the Fallen Somniel to kick off Fell Xenologue 6. After a lengthy cutscene, you’ll be thrown into the final battle against the Fell Dragon. All of the Corrupted enemies that you’ve faced will be present and accompanied by bracelets. To win the fight, you’ll need to defeat the Fell Dragon. At the beginning of the battle, start by moving your units west. After a few turns pass, the Fell Dragon will one-shot everyone that’s remaining in the area. This potentially can lead to a game over if Alear is still positioned there.
Victory Conditions
- Victory: Defeat Fell Nil
- Defeat: Alear or Nel is defeated
Map Overview
This battle takes place in the Fallen Somniel, a dark and ruined version of your home base. Your army will start in the southern portion of the map, directly across from Fell Nil, who stands atop a Fell Sigil. This sigil grants him +10 Avo and heals 20 HP per turn, making him more difficult to damage and even harder to finish off early.
Spread throughout the battlefield are corrupted versions of allies you’ve fought before, each paired with powerful Emblems. Expect a wide array of unit types, terrain challenges, and dangerous reinforcements.
Battle Setup
- Available Units: 13 total
- Required Units: Alear, Nel, Zelestia, Madeline, Gregory
- Select 8 Additional Units from your main game roster
Enemy Composition
- Corrupted Units:
- Fliers, Cavalry, Armored, Corrupted Wyverns
- Enemy Pairings:
- Ivy and Soren
- Hortensia
- Fogado and Tiki
- Timerra and Camilla (moves to the east of Nil)
- Alcryst and Chrom
- Diamant and Veronica
- Alfred and Hector
- Céline and Edelgard
These enemy pairs are distributed around the map and will gradually close in on your party.
Recommended Strategy
- Fight Fell Nil at the Last Sigil: Wait until Nil gets to the northern most Fell Sigil before attack to deal the most damage.
- Split Formation: Send your fliers east to cut off incoming enemies and position quickly, while the rest of your army heads west to deal with bulkier threats.
- Neutralize Vortexes Early: On Turn 2, four vortexes will spawn. These portals summon reinforcements each turn unless a unit is standing on them. They won’t attack the turn they appear, so move quickly to block them off.
- Watch the Fell Sigil: Fell Nil remains on his sigil early in the battle. After a few turns, the sigil will begin to glow—this is your warning that he’ll destroy the area on the following turn. Any units caught in the blast will be defeated and their loss will empower Nil, so retreat immediately when this happens.
- Use Emblem Attacks Wisely: With so many boss-type enemies and a regenerating final boss, pacing your Emblem uses across the battlefield is crucial. Don’t blow all your Engage attacks early—save a few for when reinforcements and elite units start swarming your position.
