Castti is one of the 8 playable characters in Octopath Traveler II. She is an Apothecary allowing her to use the Inquire and Soothe Path Actions. Castti is suffering from amnesia and is traveling to find clues about who she used to be. This is a walkthrough for Castti’s Chapter 1. For more guides on Octopath Traveler II, click here!
Canalbrine
If you didn’t choose to start with Castti, travel to Canalbrine in the Harbordlands which can be found on the western continent. You can sail there from either Beasting Bay: Anchorage in Toto’Hana of the southeastern continent or New Delsta Harbor: Anchorage in the Brightlands of the northwestern continent. Once in Canalbrine, speak to Castti helping a wounded sailor near the dock. She will mention needing fruit and you’ll then be prompted to hand over a Healing Grape (you can buy some in any shop if you don’t have any). Select “Yes” to give her one. After dealing with her patient, she’ll tell you a bit about herself and ask if she may join you on your travels. Select “Yes” for her to join your party. You’ll then be prompted if you want to view the beginning of her story. Select “Yes” to officially kick off her Chapter 1.
Ship at Sea
When you gain control of Castti, you’ll be introduced to her Inquire Path Action. Use it on the captain then the three guys on the ship with the green dialog bubble above their heads. After doing so, a cutscene will trigger. Afterward, head down to the passenger’s cabin and interact with the flickering bag to obtain the Apothecary’s Satchel.
Canalbrine
When you regain control of Castti, you’ll be in Canalbrine. Travel towards the Inn to trigger another cutscene where you’ll be introduced to Castti’s Soothe Path Action. Use it on Senah to transition into another cutscene. You’ll then need to heal three people around town. Their locations can be found below. Another cutscene triggers after tending to the third one.
- Townsperson – House southwest of the savepoint
- Girl – On the ground near the dock east of the savepoint
- Elderly Man – Northeast of town in the building connected to the weapons shop
After the cutscene, you’ll need to head out for the water source south of the savepoint on Canalbrine: Parth to the Water Source.
Canalbrine: Path to the Water Source
Head east to find a chest containing a Darkdelion then proceed west towards the water source. When you start going up the sloped path along the area’s western side, there will be a hidden path next to the brazier leading to a chest with an Empowering Ring. A third chest can be found towards the end of the slope containing a Plum Leaf and another before a wall with a ladder containing a Grape Leaf. Climb the wall and then follow it north to find another chest with a Guard’s Helm. Next head south along the wall to find a savepoint and dock. Sail west to find another dock with a chest containing a Herb of Healing then return to the first dock and head through the bars to reach the water source.

Canalbrine: Water Source
Head for the dock then follow the path east. At the fork, continue east to find a chest with a Diffusing Serum then backtrack to the fork and continue on taking the western path. Just before the bridge, there will be a dirt path on the north side leading to a chest with a Cleansing Leaf. Return to the bridge and press on heading east. When you reach the merchant and savepoint, there will be a dock to the left of a small waterfall. Use it to travel west to find a chest with some Old Armor in it. Return to the merchant and stock up on any supplies you need or upgrade equipment. You might also want to use savepoint as well. Grab the chest at the end of the bottom path for a Herb of Healing then take the upper path to the end to trigger an event leading to a boss fight.

Boss Fight: Doron and Veron
For this fight, you’ll be facing two enemies: Doron and Veron. Doron can make you susceptible to poison attacks while Veron can poison you. When one gets low on health, the other will eat it healing itself and gaining a buff. After dealing some damage to the remaining enemy, Castti will gain use of her Latent Power which lets her use concoct without requiring any materials. You can use it to buff your resistance to aliments, heal some HP or restore some SP. The battle ends once both foes are no more. This will trigger a cutscene.

Canalbrine
After regaining control of Castti, use the Inquire Path Action on Malaya to learn more about Eir’s Apothecaries. This will trigger a cutscene where Castti will remember a bit about herself. The chapter will complete afterward.
