How to Start the Vineyard Vandalism Quest
To begin the Vineyard Vandalism side quest in Monster Hunter Stories 3, speak with the Deep Thinker at Azuria Castle near the Azuria Castle: Town Catavan Stand.
Vineyard Vandalism Walkthrough
The vineyard’s been dug up, leaving huge holes all over! Luckily, the grapes were unharmed, but it’s still a terrible mess! If you see anyone suspicious hanging around the vineyard, please make sure they never come back. I still can’t figure out how they dug such big holes, though…
Find the vineyard vandal
To find the vineyard, travel east of Azuria Castle towards the windmills. When you arrive, you will spot a Yian Kut-Ku sleeping in the grapes.
Slay Yian Kut-Ku
Approach this monstie to trigger a fight then take it out!

Attack Pattern
- Normal State: Technical
- Enraged / Behaving Strangely: Speed
Skills
- Fireball Expulsion – Deals Fire damage to one enemy.
- Beak Drill – Deals non-elemental damage to one enemy.
- Unstoppable – Deals non-elemental damage to all enemies.
- Fireball – Deals Fire damage to one enemy with a chance to inflict Burn.
- Fire Def Boost (S) – Slightly reduces damage taken from Fire attacks.
Report to the client
With the monstie defeated, return to the Deep Thinker at Azuria Castle to report on your success. As a reward for completing the Vineyard Vandalism quest, you will receive the following:
- Potion x2
- EXP +100
- Silver Trade Points +600
