How to Start the A Path to the Garden Quest
The A Path to the Garden main story quest in Avowed will automatically begin after completing the Ancient Soil quest. The events of this quest might be a little different depending on Fior’s fate.
A Path to the Garden Walkthrough
Reach Thirdborn
With the events of Fior behind you, you’ll seek an audience with Yatzli, the orlan wizard and Godless scholar. She’ll agree to meet you in Thirdborn, a settlement at the southern end of Shatterscarp.
To reach Thirdborn, travel to the northwestern part of the Grim Wetlands. There, you’ll find the path leading to Shatterscarp. Before you can enter, you’ll need to speak with Aelfyr, as she is blocking your way! At the end of your conversation, you’ll need to decide whether to attack her or let her go on her merry way.
Once clear, proceed forward into Shatterscarp.
Learn what happened in Eagle’s Reach
After entering Shatterscarp, follow the path and speak with Captain Wymgar to learn that the outpost was attacked.
Eliminate the Dreamthralls
Once you’ve explored Eagle’s Reach, make your way to Thirdborn. When you arrive, you’ll find Dreamthralls attacking the city. Help the guards exterminate them!
Speak with Yatzli
After the enemies have been cleared from Thirdborn, speak with Yatzli, who can be found on a balcony on the southern side of the city, just southeast of the Mussel’s Seafood Bar. When the conversation ends, so will the quest!
