Welcome to NGB and our walkthrough for The Animancy Method main quest in Avowed. For this quest, you’ll need to travel to Fior mes Iverno in the Emerald Stair and speak with the governor. How to Start The Animancy Method Quest
The Animancy Method main story quest in Avowed will automatically begin after completing the An Untimely End quest.
The Animancy Method Walkthrough
Investigating the Dreamscourge has pointed you toward Fior mes Iverno, an intellectual haven of animancers. Ambassador Hylgard told you the governor would be a point of contact.
Travel to Fior mes Iverno
To reach Fior mes Iverno, travel to the Southern Embrace, which is east of Paradis, and pass through the Emerald Stair Gatehouse on the far eastern edge of the area. Once you arrive at the gatehouse, approach the gate and speak with Edda as the bridge lowers. With her permission, you’ll be able to pass through to the Emerald Stair.
When you arrive, you’ll be forced to make camp. Speak with your companions!
Once you’ve caught up on everything that you’d like to do, sleep. Upon waking, head northwest to reach Fior mes Iverno.
Speak with the Governor
Upon entering Fior mes Iverno, Captain Aelfyr will speak with you about interfering in the Steel Garrote’s business. Address her concerns, then head to the northern side of Fior mes Iverno to find the governor standing outside his house.
Speak with Governor Ignasi Vidarro to learn more about the situation. It will result in Giatta’s exile.
Speak with Giatta
Giatta’s house is just west of the Bone and Boar in Fior mes Iverno. Head inside and speak with her!
Consult with Monto
At Giatta’s suggestion, you’ll need to consult with some animancers she knows. Monto Pastor can be found up the stairs to the north of Giatta’s house in the animancy workshop.
Inside the animancy workshop, speak with Monto. Before giving the information, he will ask for an Adragan Heart.
To find the Adragan Heart, travel to the western side of The Delemgan Glade by crossing the bridge. Once there, work your way through the area and approach the queen. Speak with her, and she will give you the Adragan Heart. With the heart in hand, return to Monto at the animancy workshop in Fior mes Iverno and place the heart in the device next to him.
Consult with Elia
Next, travel to a cottage at Elia’s Revenant Farm, which is just east of the Fior mes Iverno Docks, and speak with Elia Rossell outside about the Dreamscourge. In order to provide the information, she asks that you deal with her revenant, Silvo, who can be found in the barn just east of her.
Consult with Ivette and Remi
To find Ivette and Remi, travel to the Fior mes Iverno Docks in the Coastal Farms. Speak with them on the dock and answer some questions in exchange for their information.
Check in with Giatta
After consulting with everyone, report back to Giatta at her house. During the conversation, you’ll receive Giatta’s Basement Key. To reach the basement, exit Giatta’s house and swing a right. The basement door will be located at the end of the alley.
Retrieve Giatta’s Phantasmal Focus
To find the Phantasmal Focus, work your way through the basement until you spot it on the floor by two creatures.
Return to Giatta
With the Phantasmal Focus in hand, return to Giatta. After the cutscene, she will become your new companion!
