The Bestower of All: Ch. 5 The Gate of Finis quest in Octopath Traveler 0 will automatically begin after completing the Bestower of All: Ch. 4 A Nation Frozen in Time quest.
Bestower of All: Ch. 5 The Gate of Finis Walkthrough
Seeking the Gate of Finis, Rondo ventures to Hell’s Hornburg where he undergoes the Sacred Flame’s trials and inherits the Blue Flame. The final battle with Sazantos draws near.
Speak to Rondo
To officially begin this quest, travel to the northern part of Flamesgrace Cathedral: Entrance.
Head to the Castle Edoras gate
After the cutscene, travel to Cragspear then make your way to the Castle Edoras Gate. Approach the northern part of this area to trigger another cutscene. Solon and Eltrix will then become your companions and residents of Wishvale!
Solon, The Wise King, is an expert in physical and elemental attacks. He learns a support skill that further enhances elemental capabilities.
- Weapons: Tome, Sword
- Battle Skills:
- Cross Strike – Unleash a sword attack on a foe
- Fireball – Unleash a fire attack on all foes
Eltrix, the Captain, is an indomitable force on the front lines. She learns a support skill that further enhances defensive capabilities.
- Weapons: Sword, Bow
- Battle Skills:
- Twofold Slash – Unleash 2 sword attacks on a foe
- Stout Wall – Raise own physical defense
Head to the Gate of Finis
Next, travel to the Hornburg Battle Ruins in the Highlands Region. Make your way to the western side of this area to find the Gate of Finis.
After you approach the gate, enemies will appear.

Proceed into the Gate of Finis
Head through the gate to reach the Corridors of Contrition. On the left side, take the lone portal to reach the Corridors of Contrition: Back Halls. Follow the path to reach a tentacle and destroy it. Return to the previous area then take the new portal that appeared next to the portal you just went through. Follow the path to another tentacle and destroy it. This time, enemies will attack!

Return to the portal. Next, take the northeastern portal. Follow the path and destroy the tentacle. In the main room, take the new portal that appeared next to the portal you previously entered. Follow the path and destroy the tentacle. Enemies will appear again, so take them out!

Exit to the previous area then head down the central pathway and enter the gate. Just past the save point, you’ll encounter Sazantos.

Once you win, a cutscene will trigger and the quest will complete!
