How to Start the Donescu’s Successor Quest
To begin the Donescu’s Successor quest in Octopath Traveler 0, speak with the man at the entrance to Castle Edoras after completing the Bestower of All: Ch. 1 Between Life and Death quest.
Donescu’s Successor Walkthrough
To re-establish an independent government in Donescu, Richard believes King Dudek’s nephew is key and asks you to find him. Search for clues to his whereabouts with Carinda, who has ties with the town in which he currently resides.
Head to Donescu
To learn more about Prince Ensio, travel to Donescu and speak with Carinda’s uncle near the save point.
Search for Ensio
Next, travel back to Cragspear and enter the Cragspear: Slums. Once there, head to the southeastern corner and use the Inquire Path Action on Ensio the Apothecary to learn the Apothecary’s Secret.
Search for Ensio’s childhood friend in Donescu
Rejected, return to Donescu. Enter the house west of the general goods store and use the Recruit Path Action on Kalle.
Take Kalle to Ensio
With Kalle in tow as your Helper, return to Ensio in the Cragspear: Slums.
Head to Donescu
After you speak with him, return to Donescu and head north. Outside the castle, a cutscene will trigger. As a reward, you will receive Superior Wine and the side story will then complete.
