How to Start the Master of Power: Ch. 3 Tytos the Thunderblade Quest
The Master of Power: Ch. 3 Tytos the Thunderblade quest in Octopath Traveler 0 will automatically begin after completing the Master of Power: Ch. 2 A Dream of Snow quest.
Master of Power: Ch. 3 Tytos the Thunderblade Walkthrough
Velnorte is devastated as his beloved Rinyuu was pushed off the peaks to her death. Meanwhile, Lord Tytos was proceeding with the final stages of his plan to secure unprecedented power…
Talk to Velnorte
Enter Velnorte’s house in the Emberglow: East District and speak with him upstairs to officially begin the quest.
Aid the hunter hunting down a snow yak
After the cutscene, follow Dmitri north into the Emberglow Slopes. In this area, travel to the northwestern corner and speak with Dmitri to begin a fight against two Snow Yaks.

Go to the house of the hunter
After you take them out, head south and use the western map transition to reach the Hunter’s House. Inside, you’ll find a familiar face!
Go to where the monster was heard
Exit the house and head into the Emberglow Slopes to trigger a cutscene. Afterwards, you’ll face a boss fight!
Boss Fight: Jurgen
For this boss fight, you’ll face Jurgen!
If you have someone with the Steal ability in your party, you can steal an Invigorating Nut from Jurgen!

After the fight, agree to join Dmitri and Rinyuu!
Go to Velnorte’s house
Return to Velnorte’s house and interact with the table to trigger a cutscene.
Go to the Ceremonial Square
Exit the house then take the western exit to Emberglow. Once in Emberglow, head north to reach Ceremonial Square. Make your way to the center of this area to find Velnorte and reunite him with Rinyuu.
Confront the hero Tytos
After the cutscene, enter the Cathedral of Tytos and make your way to the upper floor where you’ll find Commander Tytos.
Boss Fight: Commander Tytos
For this fight, you’ll face Commander Tytos! Below are boss’ vulnerabilities, along with the skills he uses.

Boss Fight: Tytos the Thunderblade
You can use the Steal ability to swipe the Brutal Sweep Mastery from Tytos the Thunderblade!

After the boss fight, the quest will complete. You will obtain the Ring of Brand, the Thunderblade, and learn the ultimate technique “Brand’s Blade”.
