How to Start the An Encounter with Macy Quest
To begin the An Encounter with Macy quest in Octopath Traveler 0, speak with Macy inside the inn at Emberglow in the Frostlands Region.
An Encounter with Macy Walkthrough
A young boy has fallen ill in the snowy town of Emberglow. There, you will meet an apothecary who is prepared to do everything in her power to see that he is cured.
Head to the house in Emberglow’s East district
Exit the inn and head east through town to reach Emberglow: East District. Once you arrive, head to the house in the central part of the area.
Speak with Macy inside to kick off a cutscene during which Macy will ask you to track down a Herb of Fortification for her, suggesting you check with the local trader first.
Return to Everglow and head for the item shop. You can find it up the stairs from the inn.
Once you arrive at the shop, head inside and speak with the shopkeeper to purchase a Herb of Fortification for 30 leaves. With the herb in hand, take it back to Macy. When you hand it over, another cutscene will trigger.
Towards the end, Macy will comment that if she traveled with you, she would be able to help others, like the boy. She’ll then ask if she can join you. Select “Yes” when prompted to invite her to your merry band, gaining you a shiny new healer!
