Phantomon Overview (In-Game Profile)
A reaper-like Digimon wielding a giant sickle and chain. A Ghost Digimon more advanced than Bakemon, once Phantomon possesses an individual, their fate is almost certainly sealed. The eye-shaped crystal hanging from its neck functions like Mammothmon’s crest, providing it with a second sight that allows it to see over long distances.
Phantomon uses this ability to find those on the verge of death. It’s said that the inside of the cloth concealing its body is connected to the Digital World of another dimension.
Phantomon’s special move is Soul Chopper, which uses its giant sickle and chain to slash its opponent’s very soul. Anyone struck by this attack is completely obliterated, soul and all.

Having the Virus attribute, Phantomon is weak to Digimon with the Vaccine attribute, while resisting those with the Data attribute.

Phantomon has the Ghost type, which gives it a couple of weaknesses and resistances.

Where to Find Phantomon
Phantomon cannot be found while exploring the Human or Digital worlds. To add Phantomon as a partner in Digimon Story Time Stranger, you’ll need to digivolve a lower-generation Digimon or de-digivolve a higher-generation Digimon into Phantomon. Refer to the Phantomon Digivolution section below for more information.
Phantomon Digivolution
Digivolution is the process that allows your Digimon to grow stronger and unlock new forms. Each Digivolution path has specific requirements, such as reaching a certain level, achieving a minimum stat threshold, or meeting personality and bond conditions.
Some Digimon also require special items or story progression to evolve. Choosing when and how to Digivolve is essential, since certain evolutions may branch into multiple options, giving you flexibility in shaping your partner’s role in battle.
De-Digivolution
In Digimon Story Time Stranger, de-digivolution allows you to return a Digimon to a previous form. Unlike standard digivolution, which requires stat thresholds and level milestones, de-digivolution has its own conditions. To de-digivolve a Digimon, one of the following requirements must be met:
- Encounter requirement: The Target Digimon must have already been encountered at least once during your playthrough.
- Personality requirement: The Target Digimon’s base Personality must match the current Digimon’s Personality.
Meeting either condition will unlock the option to de-digivolve, giving you more flexibility in reshaping your team and experimenting with different evolutionary paths.

Digivolution
Digivolution is the process of evolving a Digimon into a stronger form. Each Digimon can evolve along multiple branches depending on its stats, level, and personality. To digivolve a Digimon, you must meet certain requirements.
