How to Start the A Freezing Rod Side Quest
To begin the A Freezing Rod side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, speak with Kula, who has prepared a trial for Link. He’ll want to see a rod with the powers of ice. The Korok will also mention that Ice Wizzrobe enemies drop it.
How to Complete the A Freezing Rod Side Quest
Obtain A Freezing Rod
To get your hands on a rod, you’ll need to defeat an Ice Wizzrobe, as mentioned by Kula. You can find one along the road leading up to Foothill Stable, just before Eldin Canyon.
The easiest way to get there is to fast travel to Lanayru Tower and glide to the path. Then you can follow it until you come across the wizzrobe. Hit it with a fire arrow to instantly defeat it, then collect the rod that it drops.
Show Kula the Freezing Rod
Once you have the rod, return to the Korok Forest and speak with Kula to show it to them (make sure it’s equipped). This will complete the quest, and you’ll receive 100 rupees as a reward.
