To begin the Ancient Rito Song shrine quest in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, speak with the Rito Bedoli, wandering around the stairs in Rito Village (we found here on the flight pad at the top) after calming the divine beast. She’ll ask Link if he heard her singing an old song. Choose the “Teach it to me!” option to begin the shrine quest!

How to Complete the Ancient Rito Song Quest

Speak with Bedoli’s Sister

To learn the rest of the song, speak with Bedoli’s sister Laissa. She can be found in one of the houses just before the elder’s house.

Speak with Laissa to get the next part of the song

Laissa will agree to recite the second part of the song, but only if Link can sing the first part. Choose the following options:

  • The pride of the Rito
  • Pillar in the sky
  • Its heart lights up
  • When the sun is high

She’ll then give you the second part

  • The heart shines upon a path not whole, but a warming flame can stir its soul.

Now that you have the two parts of the song, head to the shrine platform, south of Rito Village, near the main road.

You’ll want to bring some wood and a way to light it (a fire arrow is the easiest). Place the wood in the center of the platform and wait until the sun reaches its highest point (around 12:35 p.m.). Light the wood, and the shrine will make an appearance. This will complete the shrine quest!
