How to Start the Search for Barta Side Quest
To begin the Search for Barta side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you’ll first need to have saved Barta from the Yiga during the Divine Beast Vah Naboris main quest.
After doing that, speak with Liana in the Gerudo training area near the throne room. She’ll be chewing out two other soldiers for letting her set out in search of the leviathan bones. It’s up to Link to find her.
How to Complete The Search for Barta Quest
Find the Missing Barta
To locate Barta, you’ll want to travel to the Gerudo Great Skeleton in the southwestern corner of the Gerudo Desert. Head southwest from Gerudo Town, through Dragon’s Exile, to find it.
Speak with Barta
When you reach the great skeleton, make your way to the mouth of the great beast to find Barta kneeling in front of it. Speak with her and she’ll keep muttering about a hearty durian.
Make sure to complete the nearby Hawa Koth Shrine to have a way to fast travel back!
Obtain a Hearty Durian for Barta
If you don’t have a hearty durian on you, the quickest way to get one is to travel back to Gerudo Town and purchase one from the vendor for 20 rupees. Pick one up, then return to Barta and speak with her to hand it over. She’ll feel rejuvenated and thank Link for the help before returning to town.
Check in on Barta
Make your way back to Gerudo Town and stop by the training area next to the throne room. Speak with Liana, who will thank you for helping Barta. You’ll then be rewarded with 100 rupees, and the quest will be completed.
