You’ll begin the Crash Course in Telemetry faction quest in The Outer Worlds 2 automatically after completing the A Study in Disruption faction quest.

Seek an Alternate Way to Deal with Protectorate Forces (Optional)
If you completed the Controlling for Convenience side quest, travel to the Caffentegration Point and speak with Persephone there. Tell her about the mission, and she’ll have some of her people inform the Protectorate that you’re coming. This will prevent them from shooting first. In exchange, she will ask that you bring her the data you collect so that she can make a copy of it.
Recover Data From the Crashed Satellite
Head back to your ship and set a course for Paradise Island on Eden. To reach the crashed satellite, fast travel to the Bridge of the Reverent and head west. This will bring you the right to it.
When you arrive, speak with Cadet Warden Halstead. She’ll ask that you present yourself so that she can measure your worth. If you have Engineering 4, then you can bypass the questioning. If you don’t, you’ll be presented with another set of options. For those, you’ll need to have Speech 4 to persuade her. Otherwise, you’ll need to remove them.
Whatever you choose, head to the satellite afterwards and interact with it to retrieve the data.
Deliver the Recovered Data
After you’re done, head back to the ship and travel back to Cloister, then make your way back to Laplace’s Garden. If you received help from Persephone Doyle and intend to honor the agreement, visit her first so you can copy the data. She’ll reward you with a non-unique helmet and some bits.
Return to Artificer Laureate Enola Kraft and deliver the data you collected. She will be excited about it, completing the quest. You’ll receive the unique Mathematician’s Mantle armor, an Advanced Decryption Key, XP, and some bits.
Speak with the Presiding Bishop
You’ll also be granted an audience with the Presiding Bishop Ruth Basar. This will be your opportunity to convince her to work with Auntie Cleo if you have the An Equitable Arrangement faction quest.
