Invocation of Inconclusive Innocence Task Guide
How to Start the Invocation of Inconclusive Innocence Task
You’ll start the Invocation of Inconclusive Innocence quest automatically after talking with Abbot Newell during the On the Trail of the Traitor main quest. He’ll ask the commander to convince Auntie’s Choice that the Order did not violate the ceasefire and was not behind the attack on Outpost Opportunity.

Take the Abbot’s Message to Outpost Opportunity
To reach Outpost Opportunity, you’ll want to travel to the northern part of the Golden Ridge, northwest of Matriarch’s Mercy. Once you arrive, head to the area with all the tents, then speak with Enemy Scruthinization Officer Durban.
Make sure to choose the option about being sent on behalf of the Order with a writ. If you anger him, he’ll tell you to get lost. To get him to communicate up the chain that the attack was not the Order, you’ll have to do a favor for him or bribe him with some bits.
Bribe Durban (Optional)
If you want to go the bribing route, you’ll need to fork out 2,500 bits. Do this and you’ll be square, not having to solve any of Durban’s problems.
Solve One of Durban’s Problems
There will be three problems that Durnan’s facing, and you will need to solve one of them if you don’t want to pay the bits.
Help Determine a 2nd In Command for the Mantisaur
Travel to Fort Endurance north and slightly west of Outpost Opportunity, then head inside and speak with the Mantisaur in charge and his underling, Trooper Wentworth. This will initiate the Pinching the Pupa side quest.
Investigate the Murder at Fort Endurance
If you wish to assist with the murder investigation, travel to Fort Endurance and speak with Security Officer Abner near the main building. He’ll tell you to get out of his hair, sending you over to talk with Sibella Bardof. She’ll be in a cell on the right side of the green building. Speaking with her will start The Curious Case of a Cankered Chief side quest.
Help the Medic at Outpost Opportunity with her broken AutoDocs
To help the medic, head over to the medical tent and speak with Sr. Contract Medicalist Cormier. Tell her that the officer has you to help calm her down. She’ll then request that you gather some Compressions Coils, which can be found around Golden Ridge. This will start the Hazard a Gas collectible quest. You’ll need to complete it to help the doctor.
Tell the Abbot You’ve Smoothed Things Over with Auntie’s Choice
Once you have satisfied Durban, return to the Abbot at Matriarch’s Mercy to inform him that things have been smoothed over. This will complete the quest, rewarding you with XP and bits.
