How to Start the Better Than Nature Side Quest

To start the Better Than Nature companion quest for Inez, you’ll just need to allow her to join your crew. You can do this by heading to the Ministry of Accuracy in Eden’s Paradise Island and speaking with her there.

After that, travel to Fairfield to find her in the town hall arguing with Minister Milverstreet. Speak with the minister and you’ll be able to invite Inez to sign up with you. Speak with her by the town hall door to confirm your offer, then she’ll suggest you speak with Doctor Tinsley about her arm.

Better Than Nature Walkthrough

Visit Ethel Tinsley’s Lab

Tinsley’s Lab is located in the giant barn in the northwestern part of Fairfield. Head there with Inez in the party and speak with her.

Inez will ask Ethel for help, which she is happy to do. She’ll then mention two candidates that could potentially fix Inez’s graft and improve her chances of survival: a Skeleton Crabble and a Raptidon Matriarch.

Acquire Skeleton Crabble Graft

First up on the list is the skeleton crabble. You can find this creature in the Mysterious Cave in the southwestern part of the map, south of the Crabbing Tower. Head there and enter the cave.

Inez will call out that you follow her as she heads to a nearby terminal. She’ll then interact with it, turning the generator back on. Now, go over to the Phontron and turn it on.

It will then begin making a loud noise, causing the skeleton crabble to appear with some friends. Take them out, then loot the graft off the skeleton crabble. Afterward, Inez will ask to see it, so show it to her to start some dialogue.

Acquire Raptidon Matriarch Graft

The next graft you’ll need to retrieve is from the Raptidon Matriarch. To get it, you’ll need to head to the northern part of the island, in the area northwest of the Vox Relay. You’re going to want to head up the middle of the island and approach the search area from the west side. This should bring you to the cave entrance with the matriarch inside.

Enter the cave and proceed along the main path. Along the way, you’ll have to deal with several raptidons.

When you make it far enough, Inez will start talking to you, saying she’s ready to lure the matriarch out. Tell her to proceed with the attack. The Raptidon Matriarch will appear with some friends. As the fight goes on, more raptidons will show up. Once they have all been defeated, loot the Raptidon Matriarch Grafting Specimen from the matriarch and show it to Inez.

Tossball Card: Daniel Cabuco – On the north side of the area where you fight the Raptidon Matriarch, you can find this card on a high ledge next to a severed arm.

High Security Lockbox: – Also in this area on the southwestern side, loot the High Security Lockbox from next to a corpse.

Return to Ethel Tinsley

After you get one or both of the grafts, return to Tinsley at her lab in Fairfield. Speaking with her will prompt Inez to ask which one she should do:

• Crabble Graft – Allows her to fire off scalding shell shards
• Raptidon Graft – Allows her to camouflage herself

Make your choice, and Ethel will begin the operation. Once it finishes, the quest will be completed, rewarding you with EXP and a cool new arm for Inez.
