How to Start An Aegis Against the Miasma Side Quest
To begin the An Aegis Against the Miasma side quest, you’ll first need to gain access to the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center in the eastern part of Eden’s Paradise Island. You can accomplish this by having an Engineering skill at level 3 or by obtaining an access pass, which you’ll do during the Saga of the Malfunctioning Mechanicals side quest.
Once inside, speak with Marshal Donelson, who will then send you to talk with Chief Deviser Delphinia Bryant in her lab, past the clinic.
While speaking with Delphinia, she’ll inform the commander that the shield device is taking longer than expected, but that she needs to address some minor implementation concerns. To that end, if you agree to assist her, she will let you keep one of the prototype shields as payment.
An Aegis Against the Miasma Walkthrough
Collect Zyranium for Delphinia
Head to the other side of the clinic, just past the Marshal’s office, to find the cloud of Zyranium.
Enter the cloud and head far enough in until the prompt appears. Interact with it to begin collecting the sample.
Afterward, return to Delphinia to hand it over. She’ll then say that the next thing she needs is something that will extend the shape of the force field around the user. That’s where a Catalytic Amplifier comes into play.
Obtain a Catalystic Amplifier for Delphinia
To find a Catalystic Amplifier, exit the ARC facility and head west along the beach.
You’ll find an inoperable Dragoon there, from which you can take the amplifier.
Take it back to Delphinia, who will finally complete the shield, thus completing the quest!
