How to Start Longing for Akihabara
After reaching The Final Battle Over the Natural Order main mission, you will receive the A Gift from the Hosts side mission. Complete this mission to unlock Time Jumping. The Longing for Akihabara side mission will then become available.
Longing for Akihabara Side Mission Walkthrough
Talk to Vulcanusmon
After accepting the Digiline message, travel to the Digital World: Factorial Area (8 Years Ago), then head down to the Factorial Core via elevator or Birdramon. When you reach the bottom, speak with Vulcanusmon and choose the “Didn’t you need some advice?” option.
He’ll then show the Agent an action figure hand and say he would like to get a figure from the same series as this particular part. He’ll then give you the Action Figure Hand Part to use as a reference.
Get Info at the Model Store in Akihabara
Travel to Higashi-Shinjuku: Back Alley (8 Years Ago) in the human world, then use the taxi to reach Akihabara Station: Electric Town South Exit. Once you arrive, head to the northwestern part of the area to find the search area for the mission.
Just outside the story, you’ll find a familiar face, Dr. Simmons. Speak with her to learn more about the action figure part that Vulcanusmon found. She’ll then recommend a figure to pick up for the Digimon.
Buy an Action Figure
Speak with the nearby Shop Manager to inquire about purchasing the Fully Poseable Sayori the Cutie Magician figure. He’ll mention having one left, then offer it to you for 600,000 yen.
Pick any of the options, as they don’t matter. Dr. Simmons will come to the rescue and pay for it, realizing that it’s for a Digimon. This will trigger an event that completes the side mission.
