Penmon Overview (In-Game Profile)

A Bird Digimon resembling a penguin was found in the computer of an Antarctic base. Since Penmon lives in snow-covered regions, it doesn’t do well in the heat. It does quite well with humans, conversely, and will happily waddle along behind them.

Penmon’s wings have degenerated, so it can’t fly or walk very quickly. But when it slides across the ice on its belly, it can reach speeds close to 40 mph. When in the water, Penmon can use its small wings to swim around skillfully.

Its special move is Super Slap, where it sneaks up on the enemy to smack their cheeks as hard as it can with both arms.

Digivolution is the process that allows your Digimon to grow stronger and unlock new forms. Each Digivolution path has specific requirements, such as reaching a certain level, achieving a minimum stat threshold, or meeting personality and bond conditions.

Some Digimon also require special items or story progression to evolve. Choosing when and how to Digivolve is essential, since certain evolutions may branch into multiple options, giving you flexibility in shaping your partner’s role in battle.

De-Digivolution

In Digimon Story Time Stranger, de-digivolution allows you to return a Digimon to a previous form. Unlike standard digivolution, which requires stat thresholds and level milestones, de-digivolution has its own conditions. To de-digivolve a Digimon, one of the following requirements must be met:

  • Encounter requirement: The Target Digimon must have already been encountered at least once during your playthrough.
  • Personality requirement: The Target Digimon’s base Personality must match the current Digimon’s Personality.

Meeting either condition will unlock the option to de-digivolve, giving you more flexibility in reshaping your team and experimenting with different evolutionary paths.
