Gotsumon Overview (In-Game Profile)

An Ore Digimon with powerful defensive abilities, having armored itself using ore data from its surroundings. As spunky, mischievous, and ambitious as any young tough guy, Gotsumon leads around groups of low-generation Digimon as it travels the system.

It also has a selfish side and can be a real handful when angered, rampaging like an erupting volcano. The ore data Gotsumon uses for its armor varies depending on where and how it was generated, giving Gotsumon the potential to Digivolve into several different forms. Gotsumon’s special move is Rock Fist, which shoots extremely hard rocks from its head.

In Digimon Story Time Stranger, de-digivolution allows you to return a Digimon to a previous form. Unlike standard digivolution, which requires stat thresholds and level milestones, de-digivolution has its own conditions. To de-digivolve a Digimon, one of the following requirements must be met:

  • Encounter requirement: The Target Digimon must have already been encountered at least once during your playthrough.
  • Personality requirement: The Target Digimon’s base Personality must match the current Digimon’s Personality.

Meeting either condition will unlock the option to de-digivolve, giving you more flexibility in reshaping your team and experimenting with different evolutionary paths.
