Tanemon Overview (In-Game Profile)

A Bulb Digimon with what appears to be a seedling sprouting from its head. Tanemon Digivolved from a Yuramon that landed on the ground after drifting through the air in search of the perfect environment.

Extremely skittish, it will use its four legs to quickly dig a hole so it can hide its body at the first sign of a threat. While Tanemon’s body is hidden underground, the seedling on its head makes it indistinguishable from a plant, protecting it from harm. That being said, this tactic proves ineffective against herbivorous Digimon.

Tanemon Digivolution

Digivolution is the process that allows your Digimon to grow stronger and unlock new forms. Each Digivolution path has specific requirements, such as reaching a certain level, achieving a minimum stat threshold, or meeting personality and bond conditions.

Some Digimon also require special items or story progression to evolve. Choosing when and how to Digivolve is essential, since certain evolutions may branch into multiple options, giving you flexibility in shaping your partner’s role in battle.

De-Digivolution

In Digimon Story Time Stranger, de-digivolution allows you to return a Digimon to a previous form. Unlike standard digivolution, which requires stat thresholds and level milestones, de-digivolution has its own conditions. To de-digivolve a Digimon, one of the following requirements must be met:

  • Encounter requirement: The Target Digimon must have already been encountered at least once during your playthrough.
  • Personality requirement: The Target Digimon’s base Personality must match the current Digimon’s Personality.

Meeting either condition will unlock the option to de-digivolve, giving you more flexibility in reshaping your team and experimenting with different evolutionary paths.
