The A Brother in Need side mission in Borderlands 4 begins when a wounded Auger staggers in search of help after his group is ambushed by the Order. It’s up to you to follow his trail, track down the survivors, and face the grim possibility that you may already be too late.

How to Start the A Brother in Need Quest
To begin the A Brother in Need side mission in Borderlands 4, speak with Scholarly Jacob southwest of The Wireworks Order Bunker in The Low Leys. This mission will become available during the His Vile Sanctum main mission.
How to Complete the A Brother in Need Quest
A dying Auger ran for help when his group came under attack by Order synths. You must save the other survivors… assuming the worst hasn’t already happened.
Reach Order camp
After accepting the quest, travel north to the Exclave Repository in the Windspear. When you arrive, take out the enemies, then head to the southeastern side of the camp, where you’ll find the “Experiments” ECHO Log on the ground behind the back of a truck.
Once you have the evidence, speak with Meticulous Wilhelm on the northwestern side behind a barrier, then hack the console.
Next, quickly follow the power line south to find a grapple point on the southern side of the building.
Use it to reach the roof where you’ll find a generator. Quickly pull the lever then grapple to the column to the south and head around the platform to find the second generator.
For the last generator, jump onto the building to the east. You’ll find the generator on the southeastern side.
If you do not destroy the generator fast enough, you’ll need to return to the computer and hack it again.
Talk to the survivor
After the barrier has been dispersed, speak with Meticulous Wilhelm to complete the mission.
