The Breeding Daisies side mission in Borderlands 4 puts a bizarre spin on farm life. A local farmer asks you to track down a Thresher egg so he can use the creature for his fields. However, once you deliver the egg, he decides to take things further and requests your help in finding a male Thresher to breed with it. From there, you’ll even need to “set the mood” for the unlikely pair. This guide will walk you through each step of the mission and ensure you don’t miss a beat.

How to Start the Breeding Daisies Quest
To begin the Breeding Daisies side mission in Borderlands 4, speak with Mort near the Gushing Turret on the southwestern side of The Howl.
How to Complete the Breeding Daisies Quest
Everyone knows threshers are great at digging and that must mean they are great at farming. He would like you to help a farmer breed some threshers.
Reach Thresher Nest
Travel northwest to a cave just off the main road. Inside this cave, you will find A LOT of threshers.
Collect Thresher Eggs
There are a total of three eggs that you must collect in this cave. We found that only the Badasses drop these weapons!
Return to Mort
After collecting all three eggs, return to Mort who can now be found at a farm just south of The Kit Hole Order Silo. When he asks, hand them over!
Collect Mangler Meat
Next, Mort will need you to collect mangler meat. Head north to the Order Silo to find a group of manglers and take them out.
Return to Mort
After collecting the meat, return to Mort and place the thresher food where indicated.
Subdue Daisy
After eating, Daisy will grow to adulthood. You’ll need to reduce her health until you are no longer able to do so.
Perform a Thresher Mating Call
Once you’re ready for the mating call, step on up and blow the horn. Unfortunately, it summons a horde of Wildhorns. Take them out then try the mating call again. This time it will summon a horde of Kratch! Defeat them then try again! This time the horn will summon Daisy’s soulmate, Ivan. Again, subdue Ivan just like you did with Daisy by shooting him.
Set Mood
Next to the building, you’ll find a jukebox. Interact with it to set the mood. Afterward, the quest will complete.
