How to Start the Trace: Gigacore Battery Quest
To begin the Trace: Gigacore Battery side mission in Borderlands 4, make your way to the Abandoned Post safehouse in the Fadefields. Inside, you’ll find the bounty board where this contract is posted. Interact with the board to officially accept the mission and add it to your quest log. Once activated, Claptrap will chime in with his usual brand of chaotic enthusiasm, setting you on the path to recover the stolen gigacore battery from the Rippers.
How to Complete the Trace: Gigacore Battery Quest
The Rippers have a gigacore battery, but Claptrap needs it!
Find Gigacore Battery
Your destination is the Slugmetal Ditch Ancient Crawler, a hostile zone crawling with Rippers. As soon as you arrive, expect heavy resistance. Clear out the enemies to make the area safe enough to explore.
Once the dust settles, search the southeastern side of the zone. There you’ll spot a metal platform—the gigacore battery is sitting right on top of it.
Use the nearby stairs to climb up and grab the prize.
The gigacore battery may appear in a random location. Keep an eye on the Contract Target Detector on the right side of your screen. The bar will fill as you get closer to the battery!
With the battery secured, the mission wraps up, and Claptrap gets what he wanted (for once). Mission complete!
