The Sign of the Shadow shrine quest is a puzzle-based challenge that tests both your timing and observation skills. How to Start the Sign of the Shadow Quest
To begin the Sign of the Shadow shrine quest in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, speak with Kass at the Gerudo Tower.
How to Complete the Sign of the Shadow Quest
“As light shines from the northwest skies, from the tower’s shadow an arrow flies. Pierce heaven’s light to reveal the prize.”
Solve Kass’ Riddle
After listening to Kass’ riddle, position yourself directly behind him and look downward—you’ll notice a small platform on the ground below. Glide down carefully and land on this platform.
Once in place, you’ll need to wait until around 3:20 PM in-game time. At that moment, draw your bow and fire an arrow at the sun when it perfectly lines up with the top of Gerudo Tower.
When your arrow flies true, the ground will tremble and the hidden Sasa Kai Shrine will emerge, completing the riddle’s challenge. This shrine is a modest test of strength where the Guardian inside will be wielding a Guardian Sword+ and Guardian Spear+. Make sure to loot a Frostblade from the chest just before the Spirit Orb.
