How to Start the Trial of Thunder

Travel to the Tundra Plateau, which is west of the Ridgeland Tower. As soon as you reach the area around the shrine, a voice will speak to Link, telling him of the trial.
“The voice said that a trial would appear once four spirits were set in their proper places.”
How to Complete the Trial of Thunder
To begin, head to the east side of the trial area. There, you’ll see a statue with a red sphere on top. Climb up to the top and move the red ball to the front of the statue so that the ball rests on the statue’s nose. Next, use Stasis to smack the ball into the middle circle.

Afterward, travel to the north side of the circle to find another statue with an orange ball on top. To reach this statue, you might need to climb on the mushrooms and then glide to the statue. Just like before, grab the orange ball and move it to the statue’s nose, then use Statis to putt the ball into the middle circle.

Once you’ve gotten the red and orange balls into the center circle, climb up to find the last two balls: a green atop the pedestal and the purple on the ground next to its pedestal.

To complete the Trial of Thunder, you’ll need to place all four balls into their corresponding platforms to reveal the Toh Yahsa Shrine!
