Find Misko’s EX Journal 2 in the Deya Village Ruins
To find the location of the Usurper King’s Helmet, you’ll need to travel to the Deya Village Ruins in search of Misko’s EX Journal 2, which has the information we seek. You can find the ruins on the northwest side of Lake Hylia. If you happen to have the Dueling Peaks Tower unlocked, you can fast travel there and glide down, heading southwest.

When you arrive at the village ruins, look for the remnants of a house along the shoreline. Make your way inside and look at the leaning section of the wall to spot the journal resting on some debris.

Interact with it and flip through all of the pages to receive a clue about the gear:
“The helm of the self-proclaimed King of Shadows is in the swamp of the valley of dead trees, south of Dueling Peaks.“
This will provide a hint as to where you can find the chest containing the Usurper King’s Helmet.
Find the Usurper King’s Helmet

To claim the Usurper King’s Helmet, make your way to Tobio’s Hollow, a swampy area located in the Faron region just south of the Dueling Peaks.

In the lake on the northern side of Tobio’s Hollow. Use Magnesis to scan the water (which you can’t swim in) until you spot the outline of a hidden EX chest on a small island with two trees. Pull the chest out of the dirt and open it to receive Zant’s Helmet, the twisted headgear of the Usurper King from Twilight Princess.
This completes the treasure hunt and rewards you with a unique DLC-exclusive armor piece that offers protection against being frozen.
