The Weapon Connoisseur Side Quest Walkthrough
How to Start the Weapon Connoisseur

To begin the Weapon Connoisseur side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, start by traveling to Hateno Village. You can find it in the Necluda region, northeast of East Necluda.

Once you arrive, locate and speak with Nebb. He’ll be one of the children running around the village near the entrance. Nebb will request that Link bring him different weapons to view in memory of his late grandfather, hoping to tell him about them when they meet again.
Completing the Weapon Connoisseur
You’ll need to bring multiple weapons that the Nebb requests back to the village for him to see to complete this quest. There will be a total of X that Link will need to retrieve.
Traveler’s Sword
The first weapon that Nebb requests is the Traveler’s Sword. You can find one near the entrance of Kakariko Village. Make your way there, stopping on the first wooden bridge just past Nanna.

Activate your Magnesis, then look to the base of the waterfall on the right (or left if you came from the village), and you should spot the sword in the water. You can then pull it out with your Magnesis. If you have already collected it, it will respawn after a Blood Moon.

Once you have acquired the sword, take it back to Nebb in Hateno Village and show it to him. As a thank you, he’ll hand you 20 rupees.
Fire Rod
Next up, Nebb will request that Link show him a fire rod. To find one, you’ll need to defeat a fire wizard, which has a chance to drop the rod. To locate one, travel to the Lake Tower in western Faron, then head to the northwestern part of Cora Lake.

There will be two fire wizards there that can drop the fire rod. Once you obtain one, return to Hateno Village and show it to Nebb. He’ll reward you with 20 rupees.
Even in Master Mode, the two wizards in this area should still drop the fire rod.

Moblin Club
Nebb’s third request is to see a Moblin club, dropped by Moblins. You can find a couple near the Great Plateau Tower along the road to the southwest of the Forest of Time.

The Moblin Club will be covered in a black bark. After you collect one, return to Nebb in Hateno Village to show it to him. He’ll give Link 50 rupees as thanks.

Duplex Bow
The fourth weapon that Nebb wants to see is a duplex bow, typically wielded by the Yiga Clan. To find one, you’ll want to travel to the Yiga Clan Hideout in the Gerudo Highlands, north of Gerudo Town and the Gerudo Tower.

There will be one on the central platform of the room, filled with all the stairs. Pick it up and then head back to show it to Nebb. He’ll then reward Link with 50 rupees.

Windcleaver
Up next is the windcleaver, which the Blademasters of the Yiga Clan wield. To get one, you’ll need to defeat the Yiga Baldemaster until they drop one. They won’t start showing up until after you complete the Yiga Clan Hideout section of the Divine Beast Van Naboris quest in the Gerudo Desert. Once you’ve done that, two places consistently spawn the Blademasters.
The first is near the Lake Tower in western Faron, specifically at the southern entrance to the Bridge of Hylia. As you approach the bridge from the south, one should spawn just before you reach the bridge.

The second spot is Akkala, just before reaching the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab. For that one, you should run into a Yiga Blademaster by starting at Tarrey Town and following the road north to the lab.

Once you have a windcleaver in your possession, return to Nebb in Hateno Village and show it to him. He’ll then give you 100 rupees as a thank you.
Ancient Battle Axe+
The next weapon our young friend wishes to see is the Ancient Battle Axe+. These are dropped by guardians found in the shrines, specifically Modest Test of Strength shrines. A good one would be the Namika Ozz Shrine in the Crenel Hills, east of Hyrule Castle in Central Hyrule.

If you have already completed that shrine, the guardian will respawn with the Blood Moon. After you obtain the Ancient Battle Axe+, show it to Nebb to receive 100 rupees.
Frostspear
Up next, Nebb will request that you bring him a Frostspear. An easy one can be found from a chest in the Namika Ozz Shrine above if you haven’t completed it or just completed it for the quest.
If you don’t have one, you’ll be able to get it from certain enemies. One is a Bokoblin that can be found in a monster skull stronghold, east of the Rito Village.

Return to Nebb with the Frostspear in hand and speak with him to receive 300 rupees.
Ancient Short Sword
The final weapon that Nebb requests to see is the Ancient Short Sword. To get one of these bad boys, you’ll need to craft one using Cherry at the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab in northeastern Akkala. This won’t become available until you complete Robbie’s Research side quest.

You’ll need 15 Ancient Springs, 5 Ancient Shafts, 2 Ancient Cores, and 1,000 rupees to make it. The materials can be obtained by defeating Guardians around Hyrule. Make one and take it back to show Nebb. He’ll then reward Link with a Diamond. This will also complete the Weapon Connoisseur side quest!
