How to Start Guardian Slideshow
To begin the Guardian Slideshow shrine quest, travel to Puffer Beach along the Faron Sea in the southwestern corner of Faron. There, you’ll find a woman named Loone sitting beside a deactivated Guardian while holding onto an orb.
She explains that she’ll part with the orb if you show her photographs of three different types of Guardians. Specifically, she requests to see a flying Guardian, a small Guardian, and a walking Guardian, all of which must be captured using your Camera Rune.
Solving the Riddle and Revealing the Shrine
To complete Loone’s request, you’ll need to take and save photos of each Guardian type.
Flying and Walking Guardians
The flying (Guardian Skywatcher) and walking (Guardian Stalker) Guardians can both be found at the Guardian Ruins near Hyrule Castle by the Katah Chuki Shrine. As long as they are in the frame when taking the picture, you don’t have to be too close.
Small Guardian
The small Guardian (Guardian Scout) can be a bit challenging to find, as they primarily spawn in shrines. Two good locations to look for them are the Soh Kofi Shrine in the Lanayru Wetlands, located north of Lanayru Tower, and the Dah Hesho Shrine in Akkala, which is situated south of Tarrey Town, near the Great Fairy Fountain.
These encounters are considered minor feats of strength where you’ll need to face the scout in combat. Start by taking a picture at the beginning of the fight, and then go ahead and defeat it afterwards.
If you have already completed both of these shrines, the guardians inside will respawn after a Blood Moon occurs.
Show Loone the Pictures
Once you’ve captured all three photographs, return to Loone and select the dialogue option “I’ll show them to you.”
After showing her the images, she will hand over the orb, which she affectionately calls Roscoe. Carry Roscoe to the nearby pedestal and place it inside to trigger the shrine to rise from the ground, completing the quest.
