How to Start A Gift of Nightshade in Breath of the Wild
To begin A Gift of Nightshade, travel to the top of Tuft Mountain in eastern Faron, just east of the Lakeside Stable. There, you will encounter a man named Wabbin watching a Gerudo woman across Heart Pond. Speak to him to learn that he is trying to work up the courage to talk to her. Then, select the “No problem” dialogue option to encourage him.
Next, Wabbin will introduce himself and explain that he has always planned to give the girl of his dreams a blue nightshade along with his confession. He requests that Link procure this flower for him so he can finally express his feelings.
How to Complete A Gift of Nightshade in Breath of the Wild
Collecting Blue Nightshade
After starting the quest, you need to obtain a blue nightshade. If you don’t already have one in your inventory, you will need to gather it!
Blue Nightshade Locations and Farming Tips
Blue nightshade can be found in various forested areas, particularly in shaded spots, and is most commonly gathered during the evening. Some of the most reliable locations to find it include the woods surrounding Kakariko Village, the area near the Great Fairy Fountain north of the village, and the shaded trails in the Faron region.
Look for flowers that emit a faint glow at night, as this makes them easier to spot and collect. Once you have gathered the flowers, return to Wabbin on Tuft Mountain.
Delivering the Blue Nightshade
Upon seeing the blue nightshade, Wabbin hesitates and decides it is too much pressure to give it to her himself. Then, he asks Link to deliver it to Perda on his behalf. Agree by selecting the “Sure!” dialogue option.
Next, cross the Heart Pond to the opposite side and speak with Perda to hand her the flower and explain Wabbin’s feelings.
Quest Completion and Rewards for A Gift of Nightshade
After a short conversation with the pair, they will thank Link for his help and reward him with 120 rupees. This will then lead to the completion of the A Gift of Nightshade side quest.
