How to Start the “A Shrine Defiled” Gig
To begin the A Shrine Defiled gig, approach the job marker south of the Drive-In Theater fast travel point in North Oak. As you approach the area, a fixer will contact you with the job details.
“A Shrine Defiled” Walkthrough
Get to the honden
This is a stealth-focused gig where remaining undetected will lead to the best rewards and outcome. Your objective is to plant a wiretap inside the honden (main shrine building) without being spotted. The honden is the main building on the right side after entering the complex.
Stealth Route – Body 12 Recommended
If you have a Body Value of 12, you can take the easiest route. After entering the complex, head right and follow the outer wall. When you reach the roped-off area, jump over it. Next, climb up the scaffolding and open the grated window to enter the main building. This route does require a Body Attribute of 12 to open the window.
Alternative Route – No Body Check
If you don’t have the required Body stat, you’ll need to sneak around the whole complex to reach the left side of the main building. Once there, open the grated window on this side to enter the main building.
Inside the Honden
Once inside the main building, work your way to the back of the building and exit it into a courtyard with a smaller building. Enter this building and place the wiretap where indicated.
Afterwards, leave the shrine undetected. Getting spotted may reduce your payout or affect your standing with Wakako.
Gig Completion
Once you’re safely outside the shrine grounds, Wakako will call to confirm the job is done. Head to the nearby Drop Point to receive your payment and complete the gig.
