Welcome to NGB and our Fantasy Life i walkthrough for The Farmer’s Story questline! This guide will cover everything you need to know to easily complete this quest, including how to start the mission and the steps you will need to take to finish it.

How to Start The Farmer’s Story Questline
After ridding the Elder Tree of its carrots during the Chapter 4 main story, Ignaji will have you help make soup. You’ll then return to the Elder Tree to feed it to him so he’ll feel better. You’ll then receive a Spirit Hoe.
You will now be able to learn the Farmer Life License from the Guild Office.
Afterward, speak with Inaji in his house in Idylla Village on Faraway Island to officially begin The Farmer’s Story questline in Fantasy Life i.
Farmer Life Challenges
Novice Challenges
From Farmers, With Love
After beginning this quest, head outside the house and speak with Teluce to learn the basics of farming.
After hoeing, head inside the house and speak with Inaji. You’ll then be tasked with heading to the Material Shop at Terrasa Farm, which is northeast of Idylla Village.
Once there, speak with the Material Shop to receive 200 Dosh. Next, you’ll need to travel to the Valley of Spirits. When you arrive, speak with Leafe.
Afterward, you’ll need to find the Super Sweet Onion!
Return to Terrasa Farm then head south to find a giant onion in the field. Teluce will then give you a tutorial on how to harvest Boss Veggies.
After harvesting the Super Sweet Onion, report back to Inaji to complete the quest.
Fledgling Challenges
To plant at your Base Camp, go to the Guild and speak with Cooke. Pick the Farm option then “Build Farm”. From there, purchase the Radish Farm, Pumpkin Farm, Potato Farm, and Onion Farm for 500 Dosh each.
After you speak with Cooke, speak with Marco and purchase the Radish, Pumpkin, Potato, and Onion Seeds for 150 each. We recommend purchasing 9 of each type.
Once done, head back to your Base Camp and pick a spot to place your farms. When the farm has been placed, plant a seed in each square. After the seeds have been planted, water them! Wait a day for the seeds to sprout. When they sprout, water them again. After the next day, the plants should be ready to harvest!

For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 6 Onions at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 150 Stars.
Freshly Picked Potatoes
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 6 Potatoes at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 150 Stars.
Freshly Picked Radishes
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 6 Radishes at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 150 Stars.
So You Want to Farm Onions
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 12 Onions at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
So You Want to Farm Potatoes
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 12 Potatoes at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
so You Want to Farm Pumpkins
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 12 Pumpkins at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
So You Want to Farm Radishes
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 12 Radishes at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
Watering Amateur
For this life challenge, you’ll need to water 18 plants. As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.

Carrot Connoisseur
For this life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent 6 times while harvesting Carrots at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 400 Stars.
Freshly Picked Carrots
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 8 Carrots at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 200 Stars.
Pumpkin with a Smile
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 6 Smiley Pumpkins at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Radish with a Temper
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 6 Raging Radish at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Shockingly White
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 6 Pale Onions at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
So You Want to Farm Carrots?
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 12 Carrots at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 200 Stars.
Sticky Queen Potato
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 6 Bushy Baatato at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Swift Sowing
For this life challenge, you’ll need to hoe 50 times. As a reward, you’ll receive 200 Stars.
Watering Veteran
For this life challenge, you’ll need to water Carrot Farm 18 times. As a reward, you’ll receive 200 Stars.
Adept Challenges
An Hourglass Figure
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 4 Gourdy Pumpkins at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 400 Stars.
Cabbage Connoisseur
For this life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent 8 times while harvesting Cabbages at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 700 Stars.
Freshly Picked Cabbage
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 15 Cabbages at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 300 Stars.
Heavyweight Champions
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 4 Mungus Radish at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 400 Stars.
Ruby Red Tomatoes
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 6 Crimson Carrots at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 550 Stars.
So You Want to Farm Cabbages
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 15 Cabbages at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 300 Stars.
Sow Like the Wind
For this life challenge, you’ll need to hoe 100 times at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 300 Stars.
The Noble Spud
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 4 Dandy Potatoes at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 400 Stars.
Watering Pro
For this life challenge, you’ll need to water Cabbage Farm 18 times at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 300 Stars.
Your Inner Demonions
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 4 Demonions at your Base Camp. Demonions are dropped from boss veggies. Ours came from a Mandrake that first appeared as a sparkly plant in our carrot farm. As a reward, you’ll receive 400 Stars.
Expert Challenges
A Harvesting Hurricane
For this life challenge, you’ll need to use the Harvest Tornado I skill 20 times at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 300 Stars.
A Phantastic Taste
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 3 Spooky Spuds at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Armored Delicacy
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 3 Armored Onions at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Crack in the Armor
For this life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent 1 time while harvesting Armored Onions at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 800 Stars.
Purple Cabbage
For this life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent 6 times while harvesting Purple Cabbages at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 600 Stars.
Sonic Sowing
For this life challenge, you’ll need to sow 150 times at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
The Great Ghost Gathering
For this life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent 1 time while harvesting Spooky Spuds at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 800 Stars.
The Great Spirit’s Gift
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 3 Great Spirit Radish at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
The Great Spirit’s Harvest
For this life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent 1 time while harvesting Great Spirit Radishes at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 800 Stars.
The Most Powerful Pumpkin
For this life challenge, you’ll need to harvest 3 Kaiser Pumpkins at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
The Pumpkins are Revolting
For this life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent 1 time while harvesting Kaiser Pumpkins at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 800 Stars.
Watering Legend
For this life challenge, you’ll need to water crops 50 times at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
You can Eat the Whiskers, Too
For this life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent 4 times while harvesting Hermit Carrots at your Base Camp. As a reward, you’ll receive 600 Stars.
