Welcome to NGB and our Fantasy Life i walkthrough for The Miner’s Story questline! This guide will cover everything you need to know to easily complete this quest, including how to start the mission and the steps you will need to take to finish it.

How to Start The Miner’s Story QuestLine
To begin The Miner’s Story questline in Fantasy Life i, select the Miner Life License in Eternia Village’s Guild Office. Next, travel to the Miner’s Guild.
Inside, speak with Meralda in the Miner’s Guild to become a Novice.
Miner Life Challenges
Novice Challenges
Lucky Pickaxe
First, head northwest of town and approach Beryl near the mine entrance to trigger a cutscene. While speaking with him, you’ll learn the basics of mining.
He’ll also task you with collecting three Mysteria Coppers. Mine the copper deposits until you acquire the Mysteria Coppers.
After collecting the Mysteria Coppers, return to Beryl and speak with him. You’ll then need to make your way over to the Miner’s Guild and speak with Meralda.
Next, head into the General Goods store on the east side of Eternia Village.
Speak with the Material Shop guy behind the counter to receive 200 Dosh.
Afterward, you’ll need to travel to the Capital of Mysteria, which is north of Eternia Village. Once in the capital, head up the stairs and enter the Fortune-Teller’s House on the left side. Inside, speak with Bagua.
When you’re finished speaking with her, exit her house and head back across the bridge. Follow the path west to reach a beach. There, you’ll speak with Meralda to learn about sweet spots. Interact with the large deposit near Beryl to acquire the Fortuna Topaz.
Once you have it, report to Meralda in the Miner’s Guild. You’ll receive 100 Stars and rank up from Novice to Fledgling! Also, you’ll receive a Bronze Pickaxe and recipes for the Miner’s Helmet, Clothes, and Shoes. The Lucky Pickaxe task will then complete.
Fledgling Challenges
An Introduction to Gems
For the An Introduction to Gems life challenge, you’ll need to obtain 5 Topaz. To complete this challenge, you can farm the deposits in the Novice Miner’s Pit, which is northwest of Eternia Village.
To get the deposits to respawn, leave the cave and reenter it. As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
Copper Jackpot
For the Copper Jackpot life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent while mining Copper Deposits 5 times. To complete this challenge, you can farm the deposits in the Novice Miner’s Pit, which is northwest of Eternia Village.
To get the deposits to respawn, leave the cave and reenter it. As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
Great Copper Jackpot
For the Great Copper Jackpot life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent while mining a Great Copper Deposit 2 times. As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
It’s All Ore Nothing
For the It’s All Ore Nothing life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent while mining an Amazing Copper Deposit 2 times. You can find Amazing Copper Deposits inside Banaan Cave, which is on the southwestern side of the Capital of Mysteria.
As a reward, you’ll receive 200 Stars.
Meralda’s Challenge
You’ll acquire the Meralda’s Challenge life challenge during the main story if you have the Miner’s life license active when trying to get a Dragonut. For this challenge, you’ll need to obtain 15 Mysteria Copper. To get the deposits to respawn, leave the cave and reenter it.
Need More Ore
For the Need More Ore life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent while mining Superior Copper Deposits 5 times. You can find Superior Copper Deposits inside Banaan Cave, which is on the southwestern side of the Capital of Mysteria.
As a reward, you’ll receive 200 Stars.
Sweet Spot Search
For the Sweet Spot Search life challenge, you’ll need to use a skill while mining 20 times. Head into the Skill Board, with the Miner License equipped, then purchase the Sweet Spot Search for five skill points.
As a reward, you’ll receive 50 Stars.
You’re Mine, Minty Ore
For the You’re Mine, Minty Ore life challenge, you’ll need to obtain 20 Minty Ore. To complete this challenge, you can farm the deposits in the Novice Miner’s Pit, which is northwest of Eternia Village.
To get the deposits to respawn, leave the cave and reenter it. As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
You’re Mine, Mysteria Copper
For the You’re Mine, Mysteria Copper life challenge, you’ll need to obtain 40 Mysteria Copper. To complete this challenge, you can farm the deposits in the Novice Miner’s Pit, which is northwest of Eternia Village.
To get the deposits to respawn, leave the cave and reenter it. As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
Apprentice Challenges
Becoming a Gem Expert
For the Becoming a Gem Expert life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent while mining an Amazing Blue Ore Deposit 1 time. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Blue Jackpot
For the Blue Jackpot life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent while mining a Superior Blue Ore Deposit 5 times. You can find the Superior Blue Ore Deposits in Lulab Forest on Faraway Island.
As a reward, you’ll receive 250 Stars.
Great Iron Jackpot
For the Great Iron Jackpot life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent while mining Great Iron Ore Deposit 2 times.
As a reward, you’ll receive 250 Stars.
Iron Jackpot
For the Iron Jackpot life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent while mining an Iron Ore deposit 5 times.
As a reward, you’ll receive 250 Stars.
Secret of the Blue Crystal
For the Secret of the Blue Crystal life challenge, you’ll need to obtain 5 Blue Stones. Mine the Blue Ore Deposits to get Blue Stones. You’ll find the Blue Ore Deposits in Lulab Forest on Faraway Island! As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Secret of the Flame
For the Secret of the Flame life challenge, you’ll need to obtain 2 Fire Mana. As a reward, you’ll receive 500 Stars.
Strrrike
For the Strrrike life challenge, you’ll need to use the Ore Breaker I skill 20 times. As a reward, you’ll receive 150 Stars.
You’re Mine, Aquamarine
For the You’re Mine, Aquamarine life challenge, you’ll need to obtain 5 Aquamarine. Mine the Blue Ore Deposits and Iron Ore Deposits in Lulab Forest on Faraway Island to obtain Aquamarine. They are a rare drop, so it might take a bit to get all of them. As a reward, you’ll receive 250 Stars.
You’re Mine, Faraway Iron
For the You’re Mine, Faraway Iron life challenge, you’ll need to obtain 40 Faraway Iron. As a reward, you’ll receive 250 Stars.
Adept Challenges
From Platinum to Mint
For this life challenge, you’ll need to obtain 10 Quality Minty Ore. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Great Silver Jackpot
For this life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent 2 times while mining Great Silver Ore Deposits. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Knock KNock
For this life challenge, you’ll need to use the Bedrock Smash skill 10 times. As a reward, you’ll receive 250 Stars.
Pure Red Gem
For this life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent 5 times while mining Superior Red Ore Deposits. As a reward, you’ll receive 500 Stars.
Quality Minty Ore’s Mine, Too
For this life challenge, you’ll need to obtain 20 Quality Minty Ore. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Secret of the Wind
For this life challenge, you’ll need to obtain 2 Wind Mana. As a reward, you’ll receive 700 Stars.
Stone of the Deep Sea
For this life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent 1 time while mining Amazing Marine Ore Deposits. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Stone of the Sea
For this life challenge, you’ll need to get an Excellent 5 times while mining Superior Marine Ore Deposits. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Stone of the Underground
For this life challenge, you’ll need to obtain 10 Magma Ores. As a reward, you’ll receive 500 Stars.
You’re Mine, Tropica Silver
For this life challenge, you’ll need to obtain 40 Tropica Silver. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
