How to Start The Necromancer’s Amulet Quest
To begin The Necromancer’s Amulet quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, speak with Hannibal Traven in the Arch-Mage’s Tower Council Chambers after some time has passed (24 hours) from completing the A Plot Revealed quest and speaking with Ramious to advance.
The Necromancer’s Amulet Walkthrough
Retrieve the Necromancer’s Amulet
Travel to Fort Ontus, which is southwest of Chorrol. Once there, head inside and speak with the Mage to learn that Caranya still has it. Continue progressing through the fort, heading through the “Old Wooden Door to Fort Ontus Understreets”.
Either lockpick the very hard gate on your left to reach Caranya, or continue around the path to find a lever that you can pull to raise the gate.
When you reach Caranya, speak with her about the amulet. She’ll turn hostile so take her out then loot the Necromancer’s Amulet from her corpse.
Deliver the Amulet
Now that you have the Amulet, exit the fort and return to the Arcane University. Deliver it to Hannibal to complete the quest.
