Falling Leaves Area Collectibles & Noteworthy Tasks
Falling Leaves

The Falling Leaves area is located along the west side of the map and requires that you have Esquie’s ability to break reefs to reach it. Unlike most of the other side areas, Falling Leaves is a decent size and filled with some collectibles, a merchant, and even an optional boss.
Falling Leaves – Resinveil Grove
4010 Chroma

From the rest point, head through the root archway and swing right to find this chroma between two wooden statues.
Lady of Sap and Door to the Manor

Past the statues, you’ll find a rope leading down. Use it, then follow the path, heading down another rope, eventually leading up a giant tree where the Lady of Sap awaits. To the left of the lady, you’ll find another door leading to the Manor.
Young Boy

Starting back at the rest point, head through the root archway. Off to the right, you should spot a fence with a gate in the middle. Approach it to find the Young Boy. Speak with him, and he’ll request that you “find her”.
Agree to help, then return to the Lady of Sap (swing a right from the rest point, climb down the rope, and follow that path). Speak with her to get some new dialogue, then return to the boy and relay what she said.
The Young Boy will then request that you stop the Lady of Sap’s paintings by opening the gate behind him. Proceed through the gate and follow along the path. Please note: You may want to do this as the last thing in the area, as a powerful optional boss awaits you ahead!
Persik the Merchant
Head down the hill from the boy and take a right. You’ll then want to go towards the giant broken tree. Under it, you’ll spot a grapple point on the rock ledge.

Grapple to it and follow the path to find the merchant along the right side. You can purchase the Beneficial Contamination Pictos from his wares. If you manage to defeat the merchant, you can purchase the Direton weapon for Sciel.

2005 Chroma

Continue heading past the merchant, climbing up the ledge and dropping down another just before the ruined building. You’ll find the chroma between two wooden people.
SOS Rush Pictos

Back at the rest point, head through the root archway and approach the giant pillar. Just before reaching it, take a left around the broken wall section and follow the path right to find the pictos by a broken tree stump.
Journal – Expedition 35 – Falling Leaves

This journal can be found along the main path, just before the bridge of Expedition 35.
Chromatic Ballet

Just past the Expedition 35 bridge, you’ll find the Chromatic Ballet, which consists of three enemies. The one on the left is ice, the middle is light, and the right is fire, making them weak to fire, dark, and ice, going left to right.
The middle one will try to enchant the target with an attack that makes three sounds, and strike you on the third, so that’s when you’ll want to dodge or parry. If the attack hits you, it can inflict charm, resulting in the afflicted party member attacking their allies or not responding to dodges/parries.
The fire one will swipe with its sword. To dodge this one, you’ll want to jump. Our ice foe likes to cast magic and will attack with a single or triple strike. The rest of their attacks tend to have three strikes, so plan accordingly.
You’ll receive the Blizzon weapon for Sciel, 6 Resplendent Chroma Catalysts, and 15 Colour of Lumias for defeating the trio.
Journal – Expedition 49 – Falling Leaves

This will be along the main path following the gate behind the Young Boy. You’ll reach it just after climbing up a long rope.
Falling Leaves – Scavenger
Scavenger

At the top of the area, you’ll be greeted by the Scavenger! It’s weak to light and pretty strong. It also likes to hide in the fog periodically.
When it does, an explosion follows along with it being invulnerable. You’ll need to shoot the big mask at least five times to make it appear again. It will also attack you with dark magic, which hits multiple times and will strike more the lower its health. It will be a four-strike attack in combos of two strikes when it attacks you.
When its health gets really low, the sky will darken, and it will disappear only to return and attack the party with a multi-strike attack. This will happen a total of three times per action.
Once it finally goes down, you’ll receive the Scaverim weapon for Lune and 3 Resplendent Chroma Catalysts.
