Esoteric Ruins Area Collectibles & Noteworthy Tasks
About the Ruins
The Esoteric Ruins can be located west of Old Lumiere on the Continent. The area’s overall aesthetic is a morbid, dark theme, with the feeling that you’re kind of in a graveyard. This area contains a Nevron quest, a paint cage, and some lumina for you to collect.
Esoteric Ruins – Lumiere’s Wrecks
Nevron Quest – Portier
Speak with the floating blue orb just before the rest point two times. It will ask for your help, saying that something is resonating with it just beyond the cliff. The item that you’re looking for is wood boards, and they can be found in the area past the maze.
Once you have them, return to ??? and hand them over. This will turn it into a Nevron. Speak with it again if you wish, don’t attack it. You’ll be rewarded with the Protecting Heal Pictos, which applies Shell for one turn when healing an ally.
Paint Cage
Scale the wall behind the rest point using the ledges, then climb up the rope to reach the top of the cliffs. From there, you’ll need to follow the main path to come across the Paint Cage. You’ll get 4,990 Chroma from destroying all of the keys.
- First one will be on the wall in the gap you’ll need to jump, just before the paint cage.
- Second one can be found on the side of a ruined structure past the statue in the courtyard with the pain cage.
- While facing the orn in the bowl before the broken wall section, look to the left to find the last one.
Colour of Lumina
You’ll pass under a metal archway while heading down the hill from the pain cage. When you reach the statue at the bottom, swing right to find another archway. Head through it and follow the path to the end. You’ll find the lumina there.
The Maze
Just past the courtyard, you’ll come to an area with a ball of light in a bowl. Shoot the ball to remove the barriers from the side doors.
To move through the maze, you’ll need to shoot the orbs in the various rooms to drop barriers in the maze. Getting through it is pretty straightforward, except for the last barrier. You’ll need to shoot the first ball at the maze entrance again to open it.
Colour of Lumina x2
Past the maze, you’ll come to a bit of an open area. From the entrance, you’ll find a luminary in the southwestern and northeastern corners.
Wood Boards
The wooden boards are on the building’s roof, in the center of the area past the Maze.
