How to Start the Following a Lead Quest Quest
You’ll begin the Following a Lead quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered automatically after completing the A Kiss Before Dying Dark Brotherhood Quest.
Following a Lead Quest Walkthrough
Well, looks like we have been played and have been killing off members of the Black Hand. To try and catch the culprit, we must stake out the next dead drop to see who shows up.
Catch the Traitor
Travel to Anvil at the far western part of the map, then enter the town and head for the drop spot behind the giant mermaid statue on the east side of town. You’ll then want to crouch in the corner next to the wall until Enilroth shows up.
Speak with him to learn that a robed man was paying him to drop off the letters. You can then ask him about the lighthouse to discover where the robed man has been staying, and that a man named Ulfgar has a key.
Gain Access to the Lighthouse Cellar
Exit Anvil on the southwest side of the city through the Dock Gate. This will put you right near the lighthouse. Make your way up there and enter Ulfgar Fog-Eye’s House.
Speak with Ulfgar (he may be wandering around the area) about getting the key to the cellar. Once you have that, head to the south side of the lighthouse to find the door leading to the Lighthouse Cellar. Open the door and head inside.
Investigate the Cellar
After entering the cellar, head past the bed and pick the lock on the wooden door. Deal with the crazed dog, then read the journal on the chair next to the altar with the severed head. With the evidence in your hand, travel to Applewatch to meet up with Lucien.
Enter the Farmhouse to trigger a cutscene that will complete the quest. You’ll then want to speak with Arquen to complete the quest. Speak with her again and tell her you’re ready to start the Honor Thy Mother quest. The game will transport you to the next area for the final quest, Honor Thy Mother.
