How to Start the Umaril the Unfeathered Quest
The Umaril the Unfeathered quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will automatically begin after completing The Faithful Squire quest.
Umaril the Unfeathered Walkthrough
Prepare for the Final Assault
Ready yourself for a battle, then travel to Garlas Malatar, which is northwest of Anvil. When you arrive, open the “Stone Door to Garlas Malatar”.
Find and Destroy Umaril
Inside, you’ll find the place teeming with Aurorans. Deal with them!
To move past the first room, push the block on the altar next to an Ayleid Chest. Take the gate to the left of the block on the north side of the room and follow the path to reach the “Stone Door to Garlas Malatar, Ceysel”.
Head on through and push the block on the wall between the gates to raise them.
In this large room, Aurorans will just keep attacking you until you destroy the Dark Orb on the second level in the middle. To reach this orb, run to the right side of the room, ignoring the enemies, and hug the central platform to find a path that goes under it. Take this path to reach a set of stairs leading up. Continue following the path to find the Dark Orb. Interact with it to destroy it!
Once the orb shatters, the Aurorans and knights will disappear. Backtrack down the path to the west and head through the opening just before the arched doorway. Immediately, turn around to spot a switch on the back of the wall.
Push the block then turn back around and head toward the shattered orb. At the orb, take a left crossing the barrier to find a “Stone Door to Garlas Malatar, Carac Abaran”.
Once through the door, follow the linear path to Umaril and defeat his physical form.
Cast the Blessing of Talos on Yourself
Before casting the Blessing of Talos on yourself, loot Umaril’s Sword from where he fell and any chests you’d like. Once ready, cast the spell! You’ll then be teleported to a dimension where you’ll have to fight Umaril once more.
With your holy quest completed, you’ll return to the original knights in the basement of the Priory of the Nine.
