How to Start The Faithful Squire Quest

The Faithful Squire quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will begin automatically after completing the Priory of the Nine quest.

Reclaim the Sword of the Crusader

Speak with Sir Lathon if you wish to have him follow you then travel to Underpall Cave. You’ll find this cave southwest of Bruma.

Once you’ve arrived, head inside and follow the linear path to the Underpall Keep.

When you enter the large room, hug the left side to find a doorway near the entrance and take this path!

Follow this linear path to reach the “Wood Door to Underpall Reflecting Chamber”. Follow the linear path to find Sir Roderic next to a coffin.

When you’re ready, head through the wooden door behind the Tomb of Lord Vlindrel. In this next area, you’ll fight Lord Berich Vlindrel. Make sure to look the Sword of the Crusader from where he falls.

Reconsecrate Sword

Now, you’ll need to exit the cave and bring the sword to the Chapel of Arkay in Cheydinhal. To quickly leave, use the shortcut in this room!

Once in the Chapel, you’ll find that it’s under attack!! Take out the Aurorans then activate the Altar of the Nine.

Return to the Priory

Now that you possess all eight of the Crusader’s Relics, return to the Priory to consult with your knights about how to attack and destroy Umaril.

When you arrive, Sir Thedret will tell you that the Prophet has arrived and suggest that you speak with him inside.

Do so to receive the Blessing of Talos, which you’ll need for your upcoming fight. The Faithful Squire and The Blessing of Talos quests will then complete and Umaril the Unfeathered will begin.
