How to Start the Stendarr’s Mercy Quest
The Stendarr’s Mercy quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will begin when speaking with the Knights of the Nine during the Priory of the Nine quest.
Stendarr’s Mercy Walkthrough
We recommend saving this quest for the last! When you take on the curse, anytime your stamina gets to 0, you’ll briefly pass out!
Retrieve the Gauntlets of the Crusader
Travel to the Chapel of Stendarr in Chorrol and speak with Areldur. Next, head downstairs to the Chapel Hall. Once inside head straight and take the first right, going down a small set of stairs. Kellen awaits in the room behind the wooden door.
When speaking with Kellen, you’ll learn that Kellen is convinced that Areldur knows something about the curse that he’s not telling him and wants us to persuade him to reveal the information. Return back upstairs and speak with Areldur about Kellen.
Now that you’ve learned about the curse, activate the Altar of the Nine to pray for Stendaar for the power to lift Kellen’s curse.
After you’ve received the power, quickly head downstairs and use the Lay Hands restoration spell on him. You’ll now be able to retrieve the Gauntlets of the Crusader from the northwestern corner of the chapel.
Once you’ve retrieved the gauntlets, the quest will complete.
