How to Start the Where Spirits Have Lease Quest
To begin the Where Spirits Have Lease quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, speak with a Fighters Guild Porter in the Anvil Fighters Guild and ask about Velwyn Benirus.
Where Spirits Have Lease Walkthrough
Speak with Velwyn Benirus
Travel to The Count’s Arms in Anvil and speak with Velwyn inside about the manor. He’ll want you to purchase it for 5,000 gold. Do so then go check out your new home!
Make Yourself at Home
Travel to Benirus Manor near the chapel and use the key to get inside. After checking the place out, sleep in the bed for an hour.
Investigate the Crash
Surprise!! The house is haunted!! Take out the ghosts attacking you then head downstairs to find a glowing pot on the floor. Read the Scrap from Lorgren’s Diary then take it.
Find Velwyn
Since you need someone of Benirus blood, you’ll need to track down our old friend Velwyn. Head on over to The Count’s Arms where you first found Velwyn, and speak with Wilbur to learn that Velwyn went to the Imperial City.
Next, travel to the Imperial City Elven Gardens District and enter The King and Queen Tavern to find Velwyn inside. Talk to him about the manor.
Lift the Curse
After speaking with Velywn, travel back to The Count’s Arms in Anvil to speak with him again. Tell him you’re ready then follow him to the manor.
Once inside, make your way down to the basement. At the seemingly dead end, approach the Sealed Portal on the wall.
After Velwyn opens the portal, interact with the symbol on the wall to head inside. Approach the altar and interact with Lorgren’s Skeleton.
After Lorgren speaks with you, head back upstairs to the glowing pot where you found the diary page and grab the Skeletal Hand.
Return to the basement and interact with Lorgren’s Skeleton. Surprise!! It was a trick. You’ll now have to fight Lorgren Benirus.
Speak with Velwyn
After you take him down, return to The Count’s Arms and speak with Velwyn to complete the Where Spirits Have Lease quest.
