Close the Oblivion Gate

Charge into the portal!! Once inside, interact with the giant gates straight ahead. Ilend will run up out of nowhere and speak with you. You’ll have the option to send him to help Captain Matius or keep him here to help you.

Next, head back towards the portal then take the first right and follow the path down a slight slope.

Once inside The Tower Portal to The Blood Feast, take the door on the right to reach the Rending Halls. Head down the hallway and enter the Citadel Hall Door. Fight the enemies inside then take the doorway to The Blood Feast. Take a right then head up the ramp.

At the top of the ramp, take the Door to Corridors of Dark Salvation (first door on the right). Follow the path up the ramp. Fight the two Scamps then head through the Door to Plane of Oblivion on the left side of the room. Traverse the narrow walkway then enter the Door to Reapers Sprawl. Head up the ramp on the right to reach the Dremora Sigil Keeper. Fight him then make sure to loot his body to receive the Sigil Keep Key.

Afterward, speak with Menien Goneld in the cage. You’ll then need to backtrack to the other tower by going across the narrow pathway. Once in the tower, head through the door on the left using the key. Head up the ramp and enter the Door to The Blood Feast on the right.

Head up the ramp and step on the circular platform then open the Runed Portal to The Blood Feast.

Activate it to destroy the portal.

Report to Savlian

Once you’ve closed the gate, speak with Savlian and tell him that you’re ready.

Take Back Kvatch

Enter the city with Savlian and his men then clear the southern plaza. Afterward, speak with Savlian then follow him to the chapel. Speak with Savlian again to hear his plan then again to set out. Follow them outside then take out the enemies there.

Unfortunately, the gate is locked so you must return to Kvatch’s Chapel and speak with Berich Inian to ask him for the Guard House Key.

Next, follow Berich down to the Chapel Undercroft. Take out the enemies then keep following Berich until he stops in a small room and speak with him. Afterward, enter the trap door to Castle Kvatch Passageway.

You’ll then need to follow the linear pathway and turn the wheel on the wall to raise the gate. With the gate raised, join into the fray and wipe out the enemies.

After the tough battle, speak with Savlian then enter the Door to Kvatch Castle Great Hall. You’ll have to make it through the castle by yourself and whatever Imperial Soldiers are left sanding. Savlian and his men will remain in the courtyard.

Once inside, just keep heading straight until you reach the Lord’s quarters. Inside, you’ll find his corpse. Loot Ormellius Goldwine and retrieve the Colovian Signet Ring (amongst other things if you’d like).

Now that you have the ring, return to Savlian to hand it over. The Breaking the Siege of Kvatch quest will then end and you’ll receive the Kvatch Cuirass, light armor that has Fortify Endurance on Self and Fortify Strength on Self.
