How to Start the Rapid Misfire Affinity Mission
In Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, affinity and main story missions are unique in that you can only undertake one at a time. If you begin an affinity mission, you won’t be able to start a main story mission, and vice versa. Furthermore, you can only have one affinity or story mission active at any given time.
The Rapid Misfire affinity mission in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition can be found in NLA’s Industrial District. The recommended level for this mission is 54 and the required level is 50. To begin this mission, you must complete Chapter 11. The primary destination is Noctilum. The required affinity with Alexa is Rank 4.
Rapid Misfire Overview
Looks like a weapons test went ba. Help Alexa rescue the injured.
Objectives
- Head to the accident site at Noctilum’s Decapotamon
- Search for Camber near Noctilum’s Decapotamon
- Investigate the Skells at the accident site at Noctilum’s Decapotamon
- Talk to Mika at Noctilum’s Decapotamon
- Defeat the Scout Galdr at Noctilum’s Decapotamon
- Defeat two scout Qmoevas at Noctilum’s Decapotamon
Rapid Misfire Walkthrough
After starting the mission, travel to Decapotamon in Noctilum. Once you arrive at the accident site, a cutscene will trigger. Once it ends, head northeast of your location to reach the search area.
You’ll find Camber along a cliff on the northeastern side next to a treasure.
When you find him, speak with him to learn his recounts of what happened.
Since things aren’t adding up, return to the accident site in Decapotamon and interact with Mika’s Skell. After the cutscene, head northwest toward FN Site 216. At the objective, speak with Mika.
Afterward, you’ll battle a Level 54 Scout Galdr and two others. Defeat them all! After the cutscene, the Rapid Misfire affinity mission will end.
