How to Start The Lion’s Den Quest
The Lion’s Den main quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will begin automatically after completing the Exodus.
The Lion’s Den Walkthrough
Consult with Zizka on the next steps to take
Travel to the Devil’s Den and speak with Jan Zizka to give him news from Kuttenberg.
Wait until Samuel gets back from Kolin
Wait a day then speak with Jan to start the meeting.
Meet up with Katherine in the camp
Travel to the baths at the northeastern side of Sigismund’s Camp and speak with Katherine. She’ll want you to wait until the evening (21).

Get enlisted
After your bath, speak with Crow at the nearby tavern.

Talk to Musa (optional)

Speak with Musa in the infirmary. From him, you can get the cockerel recipe. You’ll need to brew a STRONG cockerel potion then give it to Myshek. If you brew anything less than strong, he’ll die!
Find the lost soldiers

Travel to Old Lhota, which is northwest of Maleshov. When you get there, you’ll find the gate closed at the mill. Interact with it then head around to the back. You’ll then need to speak with the soldier patrolling the area and convince him to let you have the charter.
Even if you persuaded the soldier to let you inside, the other soldiers in the mill will still act like they’re hostile, however, they will not attack you. The area inside the house will flag as private but just ignore it.
Head inside the house and use the ladder to reach the loft. Once there, unlock the painted chest on the right and loot the Lost Charter for King Sigismund.

There is an optional objective to defeat all the soldiers. It’s up to you if you want to defeat them.
Take the lost document to the commander
Return to Katz to report on your success. As a reward, you’ll receive 250 groschen. If you agree to challenge him to a game of dice, you’ll receive two warnings that he does not like to lose.
Search the spot where Chertan was stabbed

Investigate the big blood and follow it to the building. Investigate the lockpick then head inside and investigate the cannon and gunpowder. Next, head into Chertan’s green tent and lockpick the chest to get Lord Borumlaca’s bond. Read it to learn a potential motive.

Speak with Katz
Return to Ditrich Katz and tell him what you’ve found. Grozav will interrupt. Katz will stand up for Musa so you can follow suit or choose to do differently.
Ask Katherine to help with the guard (optional)
Travel to the baths and speak with Katherine. Ask her to lure the guard away from Musa.
Talk to Musa
Once the guard is gone, sneak in and speak with Musa. Exhaust all the dialog options.
Read the book of poisons
Enter the medical tent and loot The Book of Poisons from the chest near Chertan’s body. Read it to learn your poisons.

Examine Chertan’s corpse
Interact with the corpse.
Go back to Musa
After learning everything you can from the body, return to Musa. Tell him that you know what poisoned Chertan… Kiss of death.
Search the tents
Stephen Crow’s tent
- Bowl of water on table
- Oak wood
- Nails in the corner
Grozav’s tent

- Writing desk
- Wine on table
- Armour on rack
- Herbs table near entrance
Musa’s tent

- Potion rack
- Shelf in corner
- Shelf next to bed
- Prayer rug

Prepare to defend Musa at the trial
When you’re ready for the trial, speak with Katz.
If you want the Hydra’s Head trophy, you’ll need to kill all three commanders: Chertan, Grozav and Katz. To do this, you MUST accuse Grozav during the trial!
If you want to accuse Grozav, select the following options:
- (Stay silent)
- (Stay silent)
- He was with us at the time of the stabbing.
- Lord Grozav of Borumlaca.
- Grozav didn’t want to pay his debt to Chertan.
- I found a promissory note.
- Grazav poisoned the wine before we arrived.
- (Mention the found herbs)
If you want to accuse Crow, select the following options:
- (Stay silent)
- (Stay silent)
- He was with us at the time of the stabbing.
- Corporal Stephen Crow.
- Chertan caught Crow stealing powder.
- The murderer forced the ammunition store lock, so he didn’t have a key.
- Crow poisoned the wine while Musa wasn’t looking.
- You brewed up a poison called Kiss of Death.
After you’ve made your accusation, you’ll have to fight and kill the accused.
Tell Katherine that the Praguers are moving out
Head to the baths and speak with Katherine to tell her that it’s happening.
Talk to Katz
After speaking with Katherine, head to Katz. Before speaking with him, make sure you’re ready for a fight. Once you speak with Katz, tell him that you’re ready to move out. A cutscene will then trigger followed by a fight. During this fight, make sure to kill Katz for the Hydra’s Head trophy.
Talk to Zizka
Loot everyone then speak with Zizka and agree to travel with him. The Lion’s Den main quest will end and the Dancing with the Devil will begin!
