How to Start the First Contact with the Enemy Quest
To begin the First Contact with the Enemy side quest in Avowed, speak with Temerti in Thirdborn after speaking with her for the first time during the Face Your Fears main story quest.
First Contact with the Enemy Walkthrough
Temerti asked you to look for a group of Thirdborners who formed an amateur militia out in the Deadfall Highlands.
Look for the Missing Thirdborners
Travel to the Deadfall Highlands and speak with Private Nauki. He’ll want to know the fates of his fellow squad members.
Recover Kiri’s Badge
Enter Leviathan’s hollow via the large mouth cave. Once inside, dive under the water to continue deeper into the hollow. When you emerge on the other side, head up the ramp in the center of the room to find a corpse with a spear sticking out of it. Loot the badge from this corpse.
Recover Manu’s Badge
Facing the corpse with the water behind you, head left and climb up the ledges.
Head up the stairs on the right then take a left and go down another set of stairs. Straight ahead you’ll find Manu’s Badge next to a table.
Recover Captain Ruiki’s Badge
Facing the body, take a left and climb up the three ledges. When you reach the top, make note of the bridge on your right but you want to head left. Go past the tents and you’ll find the next badge just past the tents on the captain.
Recover Sergeant Hasui’s Badge
Go back to the bridge we previously notes and cross it. Take a right then climb up the rock and follow it right. It will then swing left to a large group of enemies.
Take them out! Afterward, speak with Sergeant Hasui.
Confront Private Nauki
Return to Private Nauki and confront him.
Believe Him
If you say you believe him and hand over the badges, you’ll receive 900 gold.
Don’t Believe Him
If you don’t believe him, you’ll have the option to attack him. Defeat him and loot Nauki’s Badge from his corpse. You’ll then return the badges to Temerti in Thirdborn.
