These items all provide some combination of passive effects, stat increases, attribute buffs, and distinct behaviors.

Chitin Band (Ring)

Item Effects:

• Primal Aura: -5% damage from Beasts

Obtained:

Loot a body east of the Abandoned Mines

Cipher’s Bestowed Focus (Ring)

Item Effects:

• Pain Blocker: +5% Damage Reduction while your Health is below 30%

Obtained:

Inside the barred house at the Ruined Village. You’ll come here during the One Last Drink side quest. To get inside, climb up the ladder to the right of the building then jump to the roof. Once on the roof, drop down into the building and loot the chest.

Crystalline Egg (Trinket)

Item Effects:

• Arachnid Alliance: Summons a trio of Crystal Eater Spiderlings to fight with you

Obtained:

Loot a chest in a side tunnel in the Sulfur Mines Basecamp that you’ll be able to access after burning down the webs

Halma’s Fancy (Trinket)

Item Effects:

• Aware: +2 Perception

Obtained:

Purchase from Merchant just south of the Thirdborn Beacon

Heart of the Leviathan (Trinket)

Item Effects:

• Sacrificial Might: +20% Attack Damage and slowly drains your Health

Obtained: Complete the Heart of Valor side quest

Poisoner’s Kit (Trinket)

Item Effects:

• Envenomed Weapons: Your weapons deal +5% bonus Poison Damage

Obtained: Give package to Daiko during The Wasteland Courier side quest

Ring of Elemental Balance

Item Effects:

• Elemental Balance: +10% Fire, Frost, and Shock Accumulation

Obtained:

To reach this unique item, head south of the Infected Homestead until you reach a cliff overlooking the ocean. Hop down to a ledge below and follow the path to reach an underground area.

This item will be located inside the Shrine to Wael in a cage.

Ring of Prosperity’s Fortune

Item Effects:

• The Power of Money: Critical Hit Chance increases with your total wealth

Obtained: During the One Last Drink side quest

Sands’ Shroud (Ring)

Item Effects:

• Desert Mirage: 10% chance to avoid ranged damage

Obtained: During the Battle Scars companion quest

Sigil of the Arcane (Ring)

Item Effects:

• Thaumaturge’s Expertise: +20% Ability Cast Speed and -20% Ability Essence Cost

Obtained:

Loot a chest at Shark’s Teeth in the area with the Captain Tago’s Bounty. In order to access the room containing this item, you must activate all 3 switches using electricity.

Stormdancer Ring

Item Effects:

• Sky-Mother’s Punishment: +10% Shock Damage

Obtained: Complete the Heart of Valor side quest

The Ranga’s Clarity (Ring)

Item Effects:

• Belated Wisdom: +1 Intellect and +1 Perception

Obtained:

Loot from a chest before approaching the Adra and speaking to Sapadal during the Shadows of the Past main story

Thirdborn Tira Nui Badge (Trinket)

Item Effects:

• The Might of Thirdborn: +2 Might

Obtained: Give package to Tira Nui during The Wasteland Courier side quest

Umpara’s Promise (Amulet)

Item Effects:

• Trapsmith’s Safeguard: Negates all Physical Damage from Traps

Obtained:

You’ll find this item on a stool with a couple of potions near a broken boat near the Heart of the Leviathan.

Wahaki Tua (Amulet)

Item Effects:

• Elite Prowess: +10% Attack Damage with maces and spears

Obtained:

Loot a chest north of the Sulfur Mines Basecamp

Armor

Gambeson of the Grand Empire (Light Armor)

Item Effects:

• Steel-Threaded: +3% Damage Reduction
• Greater Gunnery: +15% Reload Speed

Obtained:

When you reach Thirdborn in Shatterscarp, speak with Leoflaed and Glaedwine southwest of the Thirdborn Beacon. You’ll need to have previously complete the Escape Plan side quest in order for them to appear here.

Necropants (Medium Armor)

Item Effects:

• Spectral Slave: Summons a Spectre to fight with you
• Poison-Proofed: +30% resistance to Poison Accumulation

Obtained: During the Dead Man’s Mail Treasure Map Quest

Robes of Surpassing Brilliance (Light Armor)

Item Effects:

• Overseeing: +15% area of effect damage
• Innate Tallent: +40 Maximum Essence

Obtained: Complete the Robe of the Arcane Cheater Treasure Map

Skald’s Brigandine (Heavy Armor)

Item Effects:

• Alone She Stood, Yet Would Not Fall: Regenerate Health if your Companions are downed
• Untiring They Sang, From Dusk ’til Dawn: +20% Stamina regeneration rate

Obtained:

You’ll find this heavy armor in Pargrun Cache. To access the chest hidden behind a gate, you’ll need to turn the wheel next to the 4 switches.

Once open, head inside and loot the chest.

Stormdancer’s Scale (Medium Armor)

Item Effects:

• Sheltered Gale: 5% chance to avoid ranged damage
• Shock-Proofed: +30% resistance to Shock Accumulation

Obtained: Complete the Heart of Valor side quest

Thirdborn Brigandine Jack (Heavy Armor)

Item Effects:

• Blessing of the Oasis: Slowly regenerate Health while wet
• Porter: +25 Carry Capacity

Obtained:

Loot a chest in Tago’s Tower. You’ll come here during the Don’t Look Down side quest.

Trickster’s Cuirass (Light Armor)

Item Effects:

• Greater Creeper: +30% Move Speed while crouched
• Innate Talent: +40 Maximum Essence

Obtained:

Purchase from The Dead Swordfish tavern in Thirdborn

Clothing

Bracers of Bloodletting

Item Effects:

• Item Bonus: +10% Parkour Speed
• Bloodletting: Hits deal +5% bonus Bleed Damage

Obtained: Turn in all the Shatterscarp Bounties

Climber’s Crampons (Boots)

Item Effects:

• Item Bonus: -10% incoming Fire, Frost, and Shock Damage
• Living Steel Spikes: +30% Parkour Speed

Obtained:

If you go under the giant rock and head east towards the smoldering building, you’ll find Hylak and a note. Retrieve it!

Next, head to the Ancient Lakebed where you’ll find a Survivalist standing on a giant rock.

Speak with him and convince him to return to Thirdborn. Once you do, he’ll give you a key for the nearby chest.

Open it to receive these boots.

Magran’s Force (Gloves)

Item Effects:

• Item Bonus: -10% Stamina cost while Blocking
• Blazing Spirit: +15% Fire Damage

Obtained:

After wiping out the second spider nest in Sulfur Mines, you’ll find this item in a tomb.

Skald’s Gauntlets

Item Effects:

• Item Bonus: +5% Power Attack Damage
• And Their Champion Fell, Sundered: +15% Attack Damage with great swords, great hammers, and great axes

Obtained:

In the Pargrun Cache, make your way to the vault room. Once inside, switch the levers to be up, down, down, up. This will open a gate with a chest.

In this small area, activate the switch straight ahead (chest will be on your right) to reveal a hidden room.

Go inside and loot the chest!

Sojourner Boots

Item Effects:

• Item Bonus: Increases your Health restoration from all sources by 5%
• Greater Peak Conditioning: +40 Maximum Stamina

Obtained:

Purchase from The Dead Swordfish tavern in Thirdborn

Stormdancer Boots

Item Effects:

• Item Bonus: -10% incoming Fire, Frost, and Shock Damage
• Static Charge: +10% Shock Damage for 10 seconds after dodging

Obtained: Complete the Heart of Valor side quest

Stormdancer Gloves

Item Effects:

• Item Bonus: +10% Ability Cast Speed
• Thundering Blows: Power Attacks deal +5% bonus Shock Damage

Obtained: Complete the Heart of Valor side quest

Thirdborn Boots

Item Effects:

• Item Bonus: +20 Maximum Health
• Explorer’s Boon: +30 Carry Capacity and +10% Move Speed

Item Effects:

• Tenacious: +2 Might

Tricker’s Gloves

Item Effects:

• Item Bonus: +1% Critical Hit Chance
• Fatal Misdirection: +25% Critical Damage

Obtained:

At the bottom of the Sand Sea Oasis

Wavebinder Boots

Item Effects:

• Item Bonus: +15 Maximum Essence
• Sure Footing: Experience smaller hit reactions

Obtained:

You’ll find this item on a corpse in a nook northeast of the Sulfur Mines Basecamp

Wavebinder Bracers

Item Effects:

• Item Bonus: -10% Ability Essence Cost
• Greater Gunnery: +15% Reload Speed

Obtained:

Purchase from Merchant just south of the Thirdborn Beacon

Xaurip Paws (Gloves)

Item Effects:

• Item Bonus: +15% Stun
• Draconic Blessing: Unarmed hits deal +10% bonus Fire Damage

Obtained:

Loot from a chest in Leviathan’s Hollow

Weapons

Aurochs-Skin Grimoire

Spells:

• Blast of Frost
• Missile Salvo
• Freezing Pillar
• Arcane Seal

Obtained: During the Shadows of the Past, you’ll find yourself in Ryngrim’s Domain. Go on the north side of the room she’s staying in to find a bookshelf.

Interact with a switch on the bookshelf then head through the secret passageway to find a hidden room. The book will be on the table.

Fair Play (Gun)

Item Effects:

• Recompense: Killing an enemy restores 5% of your Maximum Health and 25% of your Maximum Stamina
• Vengeful Shot: Taunt and gain +100% Critical Hit Chance against enemies that Incapacitate one of your Companions.

Obtained:

Purchase from Fish in a Barrel in Thirdborn

Hel’s Tongue (Two-Handed Sword)

Item Effects:

• Soul Reaver: Power Attack kills restore 10% of your Maximum Essence
• Emotional: Hits deal +10% bonus Fire Damage against enemies above 50% Maximum Health and hits deal +10% bonus Frost Damage against enemies below 50% Maximum Health

Obtained:

At the very top of the mountain with the Xaurip Chieftain Grithin Bounty.

Izmalt’s Meteoric Apparatus (Gun)

Item Effects:

• Meteoric Burst: Killing an enemy deals low Fire Accumulation to nearby enemies
• Concussive Grudge: Short-range Power Attacks deal high Stun and knock enemies back

Obtained:

Purchase from Fish in a Barrel in Thirdborn

Nimanna’s Ward (Shield)

Item Effects:

• Soulkeeping Parry: A successful Parry grants you Temporary Health
• Spirit Ward: +5% Damage Reduction against Spirits

Obtained: After completing the second trial during the Shadows of Past main quest

Spindlewalker (Shield)

Item Effects:

• Silkfoot: Webs no longer slow you
• Webweaver: A successful Parry has a 20% chance of laying webs that slow enemies

Obtained: During That Which Remains side quest, you’ll find this shield in the laboratory.

Star of Unbeing (One-Handed Mace)

Item Effects:

• Unmaking: Power Attacks deal high Poison Accumulation
• Untamed Void: A successful Special Attack casts Pull of Eora

Obtained:

Grab from a table after completing the first trial in the Shadows of the Past main story

Storm-Sworn (Bow)

Item Effects:

• Thunderclap: Killing an enemy deals moderate Stun and Shock Accumulation to nearby enemies
• Shocking Lash: Hits deal +10% bonus Shock Damage

Obtained:

To open the door, you’ll need to activate three switches using electric.

The first is by the door. The last two can be found down the path.

The Desert’s Bounty (Shield)

Item Effects:

• Desert Walker: +20% resistance to Fire Accumulation during the day and +20% resistance to Frost Accumulation at night
• Peak Conditioning: +30 Maximum Stamina

Obtained:

During the Heart of Valor, you’ll pass through a trapped hall to reach a large room with water where you’ll head up a set of stairs.

Press the switch on the wall then head through the door to the right to find the shield.

The Emperor’s Reach (One-Handed Sword)

Item Effects:

• Rightful Annexation: Killing an enemy gives you +10% Attack Damage and +10% Move Speed for 6 seconds
• Bend the Knee: Special Attacks Stun nearby Kith Cannot be chained

Obtained:

You can find this weapon south of the Ancient Lakebed. You’ll fight the Kukae Maka Bounty here.

Umpara’s Spear

Item Effects:

• Deadly Mechanism: Power Attacks launch a poison dart
• Strike the Heart: +25% Critical Hit Damage

Obtained: Complete the Heart of Valor side quest

Whisper of Exiles (Wand)

Item Effects:

• Flight in Autumn: A Full Combo Attack deals low Frost Accumulation to nearby enemies
• Freezing Lash: Hits deal +10% bonus Frost Damage

Obtained:

Loot the chest near the center of the Great Sand Sea.
