You’ll come to the Manor of Ascendant during The Cockatrice in the Clouds quest.

Points of Interest
Gold Beetle
This Gold Beetle can be found on the second floor in the northern part of the area. You’ll need to crawl through an opening in the wall to reach the area with the beetle.
Manor of Ascendant Walkthrough
When you arrive at the Manor of Ascendant, head north then follow the path which will lead you to an opening that you’ll need to crawl through to reach a ladder that will bring you to the next floor.
Once on the next floor, follow the hallway south then head east to reach some rafters that you’ll need to navigate across. Head to the northeastern side of the rafters to reach a hallway.
After heading through the first doorway on the right, crouch through the opening in the wall. Next, follow the path south to reach a ladder. Take the ladder down then follow the hallway north. Enter the door to your left. After entering the room, crawl through the northern opening.
Afterwards, head north and enter the room at the end. Once in this room, look for a switch on the north side. Flip the switch to activate a magic circle on the platform on the southern side of the room. Walk into it to be teleported to the center of the floor.
Once in the center of the area, use the middle magic portal to reach the third floor. From there, follow the path up to the fifth floor where the boss awaits. Make sure to get the chest on the fourth floor as it contains an item that give you plus 5 to all stats.
Boss Fight – Kokamordos
The boss for this area is the Level 67 Kokamordos. It is weak to Pierce and Ice and drains Fire.
During this fight, Kokamordos will use single and multi-target Dark attacks. It also has a multi-target Fire skill. Occasionally, it will decrease the attack and defense of a single party member. Lastly, be warned that it does have an instant kill attack.
