Points of Interest
Gold Beetle
This Gold Beetle can be found on the upper floor. You’ll need to take a ladder up from the lower level to reach it.
Neuras Relic – Stitched Sphere
This chest can be found just past the Gold Beetle on the upper level of the dungeon.
Mt. Vulkano Walkthrough
Explore Mt. Vulkano
Whenever you enter Mt. Vulkano, head forward and speak with the Tired Miner. He’ll mention that a group of people just passed by recently, including the Sanctor from the Wayward Sheperd quest. He’ll also say that they are heading to the deepest part of the area. Continue following the path north to reach the lower floor.
At the lower level, head to the eastern side of the room, where you’ll run into an Orehound Adventurer. Speak with him to learn that the Sanctor was using Dark magic to blow away the monsters by inflicting Hex.
After speaking with the adventurer, keep heading all the way down to the bottom floor. In the center of this floor, you’ll find the Plateau Mirage just before the boss’s room, so make sure to save before heading in!
Boss Fight – Mad Sanctor Hyperic
When you enter the room, a cutscene will trigger and you’ll need to assemble your party. Eupha will be required to participate in this battle.
Mad Sanctor Hyperic is Level 65 and is weak to nothing. He’ll use AOE Dark, Light, or Almighty attacks. At the halfway point of the fight, Hyperic will start using Curse Chant to try and inflict Hex on the party. If inflicted with Hex, you’ll suffer damage after attacking.
After defeating the Mad Sanctor Hyperic, the Wayward Shepard quest will complete.
Explore Mt. Vulkano
To continue exploring, go to the third floor from the bottom. In the middle of this area, you’ll find a ladder to climb up. Climb up one floor to the fourth floor. Near the ladder on the eastern wall, you’ll find a tunnel you can crawl through.
Do so to reach the other side then follow the path northwest. DO NOT jump down into any of the holes.
At the end, you’ll find a ladder to climb up. Keep climbing up until you reach the eighth floor.
On the eighth floor, head to the west side to find a path leading down to the seventh floor where you’ll find a chest containing the Rusty Greatsword.
You’ll need this sword for The Edge of Glory quest.
