How to start Trial of the Dragon: Bygone Legacy
To begin the Trial of the Dragon: Bygone Legacy quest, speak with the Enraged Mustari on the Upper Blue Sky Bridge next to his carriage along the cobblestone road in Altabury Heights.
He’ll tell you a tale of the Tower of Insolence, just north of this very town. Inside this tower you’ll face another trial.

Gather Intel
Travel to the Skyward Tavern at Altabury Heights and speak with the Informed Woman inside. You’ll then want to purchase “The Tower of Insolence Trial” intel. You’ll learn that the monster you’ll face is immune to all attacks that curse its enemies.
Explore the Tower of Insolence
For this quest, travel to the Tower of Insolence. Upon reaching this area a cutscene will trigger. When it ends, pick your party then head inside.

Make your way all the way up to the ninth floor where you’ll encounter a Plateau Mirage. Save your game then head up the stairs to encounter the boss.
Boss Fight – Devourer of Stars
During this boss fight, you’ll face the Devourer of Stars, which is a Level 70 dragon. Unfortunately, this dragon repels everything!! To counteract this, use Almighty attacks from the Prince or Merchant classes or skills that ignore resistances such as the Magic Seeker.
As for attacks, this dragon will use Miasma Whorl, which sets each party member’s HP to 300. It will then max out its attack and can wipe out your buffs. It can also inflict poison to single party members and the whole party. This dragon will also decrease all your stats and uses an AOE Dark attack.
After defeating this dragon, the quest will end.
Quest Rewards
As a reward for completing this quest, you’ll receive the Cardinal Dragon Armour. This armor gives Strength+5, Endurance +5, 400 DEF, and 0 EVA and nullifies Fire.
